Not as much damage as I was expecting only fences and some roof tiles that can be replaced thought I was going to lose my trees but they are still fighting fit :-)

Red Hey, yeh blowing a hooey at around 80 mph ATM and not giving way. But what I have noticed, the direction of wind is HIGH ( In the air ) so less damage to fences etc but a few rattles to roof tiles and now no problems' YET with fences ??? and that really surprised me.
Never ever seen winds like these and hope nobody had real trouble as I know what wind can do.

Its now getting worse so logging off time and best of luck to us all, never thought I would be here :0(

Freddie hey, I am still blowing 80MPH gust at home and NEVER seen anything like this, really worried and been up at 0300 with roof tiles blowing off. The poor Trees and wildlife are taking a real hammering as we are too, i am at 15:00 hrsat 80 MPH winds and its frightening and very worrying & concerning. All I want ATM is it to stop, worry about GGP tomorrow.

To all GGPERS,

Hope you are all together and stay safe tonight throughout the storm, please batten down anything that can move especially in your gardens as these can be picked up by gusts of wind and damage rear windows / doors. Best move them to opposite down wind direction against a safe fence or wall and secure them if you can, do not leave anything in wind direction as it will MOVE at severe speed and cause damage.

Just a bit of friendly advice from my old windsurfing days YEARS AGO.

Joe / Viking ye I have a few GREAT big trees op my home 60 / 70 f high and they do intend to sway two and fro. I watch them as I am working from my front room office and wonder when they will eventually give up and snap, hopefully its not tomorrow.
They are North of my house about 20m but the same high and the wind tomoz is westerly so if anything goes wrong they will fall away and hit the pond opposite me and surrounding area, Ducks will be a bit Peed off mind you. Bless um.

Viking hey, yes I moved mine with my 3 neighbours to the centre of our drive, being a 3 Home area and end of drive , so we are cuddled in together hope the big oak does not take the wrong route and lands on our 3 cars, don't think i will be man of year lol.
Not looking forward to the morning 07 pm 80MPH gusts then worse WOW.

Freddie hey bud, cheers mate been backing my home up most of the morning as on the coast. NOT looking good as I have seen it before in 1987 "NOT GOOD". You could not even walk anywhere from flying debris roof tiles etc. Its going to be a real mess for sure so be careful stay in and tie things down even you BINS that can be thrown through the aid and through your garden windows, seen it a few years ago.
I would rec moving your cars away at least 8m from your house front in case of falling roof tiles /ridges that can bounce off and really damage your car as they fall.

Its gonna be a hooey for sure so God bless all and stay IN. Even walking down t the shops you could get hit by roof tiles or flying objects.
