The country seems to be headed for a political shambles, again… the markets will doubtless respond accordingly.

Just bought a few more for my ISA but kept powder dry should the price continue to fall and average down… long term, I’m confident my money is safe.

You clearly have no idea about how Centrica works in a fully regulated industry or indeed, where the profits are generated from.

Whilst I have no particular love for any company, Centrica like other companies simply provide a service, you can either buy or not from them. Take care.

So Hampton gets to walk after spending the last 8 years destroying a once great company. The board are as equally inept as they complicit in Hampton’s failures.

The whole lot of them should be sacked and not be given the opportunity to “step down”!

We can all live in hope… the sooner the current regime is gone the better.

Until Hampton is removed and a competent CEO and management team is appointed, little will change. Clearly the market has no faith in the incumbent’s… but then again, who does?

I have no idea how Nick Hampton has stayed in post… he’s been a disaster for the company and the share price. Something has to change soon…doesn’t it?

Would you prefer I observed the stores were empty? Of course anecdotal statements are not a basis for investment… I never said it was, but I’d rather see nice clean modern stores, busy, tills “ringing” and shoppers seemingly ignoring the budget noise when I’m considering buying shares. But maybe that’s just me.

Been shopping at two different M&S stores this weekend, they were both packed and people were spending money. IMO, regardless of what the idiot chancellor does in a couple of weeks or the incessant AI noise, I believe M&S will be a Xmas winner and going forward. I will be watching keenly over the next few days, looking to buy more at anything around 340 for LTH.

Agreed. I sold out at small loss when it dropped to £3.70. My local B&M which is usually half empty, looks dirty and depressed and is sited next door to a Home Bargains which is clean and is packed with customers!! I dodged a bullet once with this one... I think i'll be staying well away.

M&S occupies an unique position in the UK psyche, they have a great management team, the stores are busy and I buy a few more shares on every dip. I see all this market volatility as perfect opportunity to buy into quality companies for the long term... i'll find out of my strategy is right in 9 years when I retire! lol
