I did reply as you had mentioned and recognised your points. But your point on sales process that all figures in set of accounts matter in sales process in my view is incorrect, I have spent many years in retail automotive in the uk. And am very aware of what is involved in customer facing sales process. And i am aware of what FCA expect in the process. And every automotive group have a FI management system which covers all compliance process, so I am happy enough to answer any questions you may have on this. Regards john.

Ok I respect that, good point , but vat is not part of the sales process it's a accounting end , anyway let's hope the FCA report comes in soon and clear as possible.

It has nothing to do with vat. It's not part of the sales process. This company has done everything by the book. both a few individuals have not followed the system. Lookers run a very good business. The FCA want to keep them selfs right and re check. So folks no more guessing, it's a process problem. Andy Bruce. Nigel McMinn are true pros. And will be very unhappy with the what has happened. And will deal with it. We would have a bigger problem if this group were losing money. £50 million profit. £0.0418 dividend. RELAX.

It's a mess

The question is how did this group allow a very important admin process have holes in it. As reports online state it's maybe the above. The share price has already taken a hit over the year. The FCA is all over the motor trade this past few years. And lookers and others have had to put in place new processes so if this is the problem then why has this been allowed to happen. Very concerned share holder here.

This is still a profit making group, and still are putting investment in to new facilities and IT , they recognise the used and aftersales is were the growth is, the problem is lack of confidence from the city boys for backing, I have been a shareholder here since Noah was a boy.
