Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
ST, I called you out from like your 4th post when your opinion was "positive". Repeat the joke about you not wanting to go above 3% because you didn't want attention, whilst constantly posting drivel here about how many shares you own. That one was my favourite.
I'm still thinking through all the loose threads from the RNS and what the implications could be, but GLA. Hope no-one here sold at the trough (and that includes you ST, if you were ever invested)
What's the difference betweem:
"To elect Gary Jennison as a Director"
and
"That Gary Jennison is appointed a director of Amigo Loans Ltd"?
The first one gets an overwhelming majority of 97.95% and the second one has 20M more votes, only half of the original votes now approve (OK then) and loses with 58.15% against...
Hey all, I've been keeping my head low for a while (lots of pressure from the day job). I don't quite understand some of the numbers from the result, could anyone explain?
Let's look at a vote in the GM to re-elect Roger and Nayan:
R: 54M for and 53M against after rounding.
N: 56M for and 49M against.
So 107M voted in R and 105M in N.
Now let's look at the vote for JB:
68M for and 91M against. That's 159M votes. This is 52M/54M MORE votes than in the above examples. What on earth has happened here? Clearly there is something that I am not understanding.
A more generic question/observation:
So if there is a rise and people set stop losses at certain intervals during the rise, is it possible for sales to cause a chain reaction? One stop loss triggers, lowering the SP, this in turn triggers more stops, which feeds into itself. This stuff is super interesting to me, even if it is causing me paper losses.
Reading the email again, the last comment from JB was directed at the CFO and the "people around GC", and GC replied with "You and I always agreed on the fundamentals". This got me thinking, which way is GC going to vote? Is he against 3 and 7 with the rest of us? He's a major shareholder but I don't think anyone has asked this question yet.
I'm using one that Yuri linked a few days ago: https://www.londonstockexchange.com/stock/AMGO/amigo-holdings-plc/trade-recap
Just downloading the CSV and sorting to see if the sales have gone through every 30 mins, i should probably be working instead :D
