Wouldn’t it be ironic if directors and IIs wanted to make a quick profit by giving themselves shares at 80p and then the SP actually returns to 80p. They’d be stuck with the shares

This opened Monday at 140p. Reached a peak of 300p Tuesday. Wednesday it’s at 175p.

All within the space of 2 days

The Directors also gave themselves shares at 80p?

So they will make a quick buck too. Unless the sp tanks to 80p

Are we going to open up or down?

The profits are not just from Covid tests. See figures below from today's RNS.

(1) The PCR tests launching in May 2020 at an estimated price of £8-10 per test. GDR currently have materials to make 6 million tests. Gross profit margin of at least 60%. Taking the lower estimate of £8 x 6 million = £48 million - 60% of that = £29m profit.

(2) In December 2020, GDR will launch POC tests for £20 per test, with similar 60% profit margin.

(3) WHO Prequalification for its HCV-ID Kit. genedrive has distribution agreements in place with Sysmex in Europe, Africa and Asia (excluding India) and Arkray in India.

(4) Antibiotic-Induced Hearing Loss. The Directors estimate the UK and global markets for this test to be worth up to £3.5 million and £35 million per year, respectively, to genedrive based on a price of £2,000 per Genedrive® unit and £35 per test.

This is all excluding any news to come - such as increase in manufacturing capacity, FDA approval etc.

The 10m placing will be admitted on 28 May.

Aren’t we expecting CE approval before then?

For those of us who apply for shares through placing, when do we expect to hear back? Does it usually take a few days or few weeks for brokers to decide who to allocate these placing shares to?

I understand these placings won’t be sold directly to investors. Has to be through a stockbroker.

Is AJ Bell a stockbroker for this purpose? If I call them up they might be able to request for me?

What happened at AVCT?

The RNS from yesterday (WHO news), sent the SP up to £3 this morning. That RNS is still what it is. No reason why serious investors won’t come back in.

If that RNS didn’t land today then SP may well have risen well above £3. Then if they issued placing tomorrow 7am we would all have been even more annoyed as 80p would be fraction of the £3+ SP.

I just think RNS should have been either yesterday evening or this morning.

When they posted yesterday’s RNS they would have known there was another one coming immediately after.

Even after placing GDR only have approx 45m shares. Far fewer than rivals. So I’m hoping they will still be in high demand.

I can see huge buys this evening after closing. Is that correct? Or an error?

Looking at ‘Shareholders’ section of Genedrive website is interesting. BGF Investments already has huge holding and have now increased their holding through placing. The only positive news out of this placing is more institutional investor money going in

I doubt that. If you sell and then can only buy a handful of shares at 80p that would be pointless.

Looks like shares will be admitted to market on 28 May 2020. That is approximately when CE mark obtained for tests.

All very sneaky - share price will be at its highest around end of this month

If they do scale then we’ll only get a handful of shares each.- 1.25m shares up for grabs. If say 100,000 make bid that’s just 13 shares per person.

This is what I was thinking. Are there any conditions attached to purchase at 80p?

Surely many would buy at 80p and sell straight away at £2+?

What happens if over subscribed?

I don’t understand why this isn’t subject to bidding. And why directors can give themselves 60% discount on share price

Wait - CEO and directors buying themselves some shares at 80p?

How can this be allowed?

Are they able to buy at 80p and instantly sell at current market price?

That is what the RNS today suggests.
