There is in my view too much being read into Mark Whittle's departure. The RNS indicated that he is working his full 3 month's notice. Given he is a director and party to a huge amount of insider information on the company and its products i.e. MSAR and BioMSAR it is inconceivable that QFI would allow him to work his notice if he were going to a competitor such as Maersk or Shell. Standard practice would be for him to immediately be put on gardening leave so as to protect the company's IP. QFI will likely have a non-compete clause in his contract but these are usually easy to circumvent.

I'm rather surprised that Petroteq achieved standard WTI price of US$70.91 per barrel (less transport costs). I understood the product produced was low sulphur "bitumen" hence the requirement for QFI technology to convert it to MSAR. If Petroteq can consistently achieve WTI standard price where does this leave QFI? I should perhaps declare my hand here. I am a long term (8+ years) QFI holder and only bought into TOM at it's price drop last month.

I recently started to use Barchart.com. This is a US website that has live prices for the USA, but like most there is a 15min delay on UK prices. They have excellent charting , daily tips (US stocks), e mail of watchlists and portfolios, training videos and lots more. There are both free and paid subscription options which are excellent.

Excellent points . I agree. In these circumstances I often recall the maxim that large companies like to deal with other large companies and small companies like to deal with other small companies, but the small and large don't to mix together. It's rather simplistic I know but very true! Witness QFI vs Maersk, KSA etc.

I've now had a further look at the slides as I received the copy of yesterday's presentation and I agree that it refers to the renewable information but later in the presentation they have also referred to more BP sourced info re Energy Sector Mega Trends. To get this BP sourced information does it imply a close relationship with QFI. Could they be the "oil major"?

i'm surprised no one has commented on the BP logo that was on the slide when they were talking about BioMSAR at yesterday's presentation and I don't recall Jason or Mike commenting on this either. Could this be the infamous "oil major" that has been talked of for years?

I'm also concerned that it seems to be a given that there are clients out there for the Greenfield product when QFI have been unable to sign a production contract in the last 12 years. Actually I raised this very point as a question for Mike and Jason at yesterday's Investor Meets conference but it was never read out and and so was not addressed. Should we read anything into that? Thoughts?

I've got two accounts with AJBell and both contain QFI shares so have the basic 1/30 allocations and the excess allocations. The excess allocations both work out at 187% of my existing shareholding but as Techyrob says I don't understand how they have come to this figure as it is impossible to calculate until after all the basc allocations have been taken up or not. Anybody got an answer?

I don't follow your reasoning - why do you think there a binary postion here by QFI i.e. why is it either extra shares to the LTH or they are going to release some mega news next week and the shares begin their climb to the moon?

Let me put it another way. Suppose you held 1 Million QFI shares as at 1/3/21 you would be entitled to apply for 1/30 = 33,3333 new OO shares. As I write the Bid price is 2.91p and the OO is set at 2.7p so margin is 0.21p x 33,333 = £70 less dealing cost of say £10 gives you a profit of £60. Then as others have said the price could move against you during the time you are out of the market. Not worth it in my view.

There willl be a tiny minority of owners who are in profit at current offer price, also the OO is at a small discount (10%ish)to the offer price immediately prior to launch. Dealing costs and the spread would in my view make your suggestion non-viable.
