I have started to think the same. The Phase II home trial analysis took a long time. The outcome far from justified the time spent on the analysis on that occasion, in my opinion.
The current trial results probably contain a range of significant outcomes, and the interpretation of these results and itâs presentation is very important as regards the next steps in the process.
Despite hoping for âwhite smokeâ by now ( my initial thoughts suggested last week ), it seems that the announcement may take longer than most investors might have anticipated. I have no doubt that the outcome will be favourable, although it is difficult to predict as to what degree? A lot has changed since the huge success Phase II, although the recent negativity of some occasional contributors to this board has done nothing to dampen my enthusiasm and confidence. The waiting is frustrating, everything else remains on track as far as I am concerned.
Regards and good wishes.

You have made your intentions clear. Like guitarman001, I think that you are male, posting under a fake identity, and have most probably been shorting this stock all along. You seem to have undergone a personality transplant since your earlier posts. This is indicative of your fake agenda.
I have no principled objection to any investment strategy. All is fair, as far as I am concerned. What I find rather odd is that people like yourself post on investment bulletin boards to play silly mind games.
No serious investor will pay attention to you or any other individualâs comments , positive or negative, on a bulletin board. I am here for objective information, which I havenât been able to find myself. This is what serious investing is all about. By this I mean basing long term investment decisions purely on objective information.

HelloSanDiego,
I never said or implied that. In fact there has been a significant increase in the Social Care portion of local taxation to help out the disadvantaged. We can expect this to continue, and I fully support it. Additionally we all have it in our gift to donate to charitable causes of our choice should we chose to do it.
By minority groups, I meant something entirely different. Perfunctory research should reveal how the Blair/Brown government were doling out public money in areas far removed from the needy in our society.
Regards and good wishes.
Brand.
Agreed. Mostly influenced by the consequences of the pandemic - steep rises in energy and fuel prices, and their consequences; forthcoming tax rises to reduce the vastly increased national debt etc etc. I was surprised by Johnsonâs way over the top commitment to the green agenda. This will hopefully be reined in by his successor.
Regards and good wishes.
Sunak is on top of his portfolio, and fluent in his communication, which is always full of facts and free from the bluffing bluster that characterises âBoris-speakâ. He would be a good interim leader to enable the Conservatives to try and regain public trust. Johnson is a âdead man walkingâ and should leave. Like May before him, he has had a good opportunity and managed to make a mess of it.
I do not have a political bias but could not support the Labour leadership. Starmer is a decent man, but too sanctimonious for my taste. His deputy expresses herself badly, and is probably a âCorbynistâ . Most of Labourâs front bench team come over as one-ball jugglers. Should Labour return to power, we can expect high taxation, with a huge waste of public money on minority groups, as was the case under Blair/Brown.
âWill is embracing a 'Wise ramper' character.â
âŚ. and which type of character are you embracing, then Pill?
Thank you Andybe4.
You have summed it up really well. Only one thing matters, that being a successful P3 readout.
Whatever happens subsequently will result in a big win for Synairgen investors.
Regards and good wishes.
Thanks for your opinion Oakleaf72.
I agree that either scenario is possible. The situation will undoubtedly become clearer once we have the P3 trial outcomes.
Regards and good wishes.

Agreed. Everything I have read, and understood, to date suggests the scenario you have described. I was merely commenting on a situation in 2018, in which my research suggested that my then investment would grow significantly over several years. Sadly, it quickly ended with a takeover.
In the case of the anticipated successful Synairgen trial outcome, the company may well decide to give serious consideration to a bid in the region of ÂŁ2bn? I have no real idea of the companyâs true value but base myself on a share price of ÂŁ10, which a number of current investors would accept with ought too much hesitation.
Regards and good wishes.
Four years ago, I was invested in a small broadband infrastructure company. They were focused on setting up networks within cities. There was regular information updates on recruitment, and positive news. I saw it as a long term investment over several years and looked forward to a return amounting to several multiples of my investment. One fine morning, I checked my portfolio to find that the company, against any prior information, had been bought up. Although, I doubled my initial significant investment, I was disappointed at the outcome.
The current Synairgen share price scenario has a similar âfeelâ about it. I have no other reason to suppose that there is a potential takeover bid ahead. We should find out, one way or another, very soon now.

0.09p? It is easy to post a prediction, but far more difficult to justify that prediction? Are you prepared to share your justification with this board? Otherwise it is just a meaningless number plucked out of the air.
Regards.
JVT has given his best since being seconded to a consultancy role in 2017. I have high respect for his contribution throughout the pandemic. He will no doubt look forward to returning to his academic roots, and I wish him well.
His decision has little to do with the sleaze surrounding the current government. One thing for sure; the Conservative Party needs to get rid of Boris Johnson as quickly as possible. He lacks the gravitas and good judgement required of a serious politician. How on earth, he managed to become the leader of the Conservative Party is beyond my understanding? There are so few candidates to consider as his immediate replacement. Rishi Sunak is the only one that springs to mind.

I was alluding to the hedge fund, who are shorting Synairgen stock. It seems to be more than speculation when one considers the abrupt share price dip, at a time that the company is sending out positive messages, and crucial clinical trial results are due to be released.
Regards and good wishes.
Amers,
I am in the same boat. If I thought for a moment that Synairgen wasnât going to deliver, I would have moved on. Like you, I will invest in a new home home, and hopefully release more disposable income once I am finished with this investment.
Regards and good wishes.
Amers.
That is exactly what they want investors to think. Inducing panicking retail investors to sell ( some have significant holdings) can only assist their strategy.
They have carefully examined Synairgenâs track record when it comes to releasing news. I still recall the time that it took to finally release the Phase 2 home trial data. Perhaps they are projecting a significant time period before Synairgen releases its current Sprinter trial data?
They may be making a big mistake if they are basing themselves on the company as it stood last Spring? There have been significant additions to the team since then, and it would not be surprising if we were to receive a preliminary data readout later this week. I would not be too disappointed to see a hedge fund, who gambles on companiesâ failure, in any shape or form, lose a lot of capital as a result of its own misconceptions.
Last year, Woody likened the share price trading activity to a pressure cooker. I am not an authority on trading patterns, but am getting a similar impression today. Recently, (from the tweeting activity that was discussed on this board) the USA seems to be waking up to the fact that Synairgen may well be a good stock to acquire? Perhaps the next piece of significant news may at last catalyse the positive reaction most long term Synairgen investors like myself are eagerly awaiting?
Not really Ndn71, although you do have a tendency to wind up some contributors (Please do not ask for examples, as I do not wish to engage in an argument with you). The aforementioned contributors invariably respond in kind, and this can result in a heated thread with name calling on occasions.
I have respect for many of your contributions. These all involve the presentation of objective information with your interpretation. This is what this board is all about, and most long term contributors stick to that format. Some are excellent at carrying out detailed research, and over time this has been an excellent investors forum. I have mostly refrained from volunteering information as others are much better at discovering the essential objective facts and communicating them with minimum fuss or speculation.
Additionally there are few emotional comments here. Those kind of conversations are best held with spouses/partners and close friends and relatives. One contributor on this board has a need to inform us that he is in regular contact with important people. When questioned about this, he tends to contribute a long post with emotional language, and quits the board only to return subsequently with a new identity. This has gone on for several rinse and repeat cycles. He has on several occasions made valuable contributions, which I have found very useful. If he stuck to that format it would serve everyoneâs purposes, including his own, a lot better.
In short Ndn71, with the possibility of a successful readout, and another Polygon TR1 ahead of us, could we all try and remain calm, objective, and professional in our communication on this board. Ultimately, most of us are still on the same side, and believe that there is a very strong likelihood of a positive outcome in the near future.
I wish you the very best in your investments, and look forward to what the coming week holds for us all.
Well said Axe-Capital.
Most of the regular investors on this board will have held their shares for a long time, years in certain cases. The comments from the trolls, whose sole purpose is crystal clear, are unlikely to distract most investors, who understand where this share price is heading in a short space of time. It would not surprise me if there are further positive developments next week, as we approach the Sprinter trial results.
Regards, and good wishes.
The share price displayed here seems to be changing according to each successive trade - as they appear, with the usual 15 minute delay. This also seems to be happening on the London Stock Exchange website. This is meaningless information - the same as what google supplies - one trade at a time. I agree that the Synairgen share price is currently being suppressed, though it will make little difference to investors at this point, apart from maybe the risk takers, who are continuing to sell some of their stock in the hope of buying back lower later in time?
Each to their own strategy, although comments from the likes of "Sangijuelas1" and "Mumbo_Jumbo" (are they the same person?) are truly annoying. This individual/these individuals is/are (a) perpetual time waster(s) and probably best filtered.
