Great, thanks Bellers - good to know that it's still operating. My earlier posting was to answer Joker's question and also to let him realise that ITM used an inhouse turbine to produce hydrogen fat its old factory. I wonder if they're going to site another one at Bessemer Park?
Ammonia Fuelled Trucks in Canada
https://www.ammoniaenergy.org/articles/heavy-duty-diesel-trucks-to-be-converted-to-use-ammonia-fuel-in-canada/
Meanwhile, in a small suburb in Toronto , a guy called Roger Gordon, Inventor and Patent Holder developed, over the past ten years, a process to produce Green Ammonia which he currently uses in his Petrol SUV, which has had a small modification to make it a viable fuel source . He has the ability to switch from Petrol to Ammonia at the flick of a switch. Additionally, it seems he had connections with Toronto University and University of Michigan.
He has now sold his patented process and the Intellectual Property to a company in Toronto w called FuelPositive Inc.
They in turn have signed a "Definitive Carbon Free NH3 Intellectual Property Acquisition Deal" with a Toronto University team, under a Dr. Ibrahim Dincer. The purpose of the deal is to use a "first-of-its-kind" technology to produce ammonia NH3 - a green fuel - in a zero-emission manner by utilising only water, air and electricity.
They intend to scale up the process to Commercial requirement levels and help make Canada a world leader by significantly decreasing carbon emissions!
They also cite NASA as one of their partnerships as the Bell X-15 rocket plane used ammonia as its fuel to break the world air speed record at 4,500mph.
It's probably a few years before it will happen on that scale, but the motor manufacturers will probably take note as they will still be able to produce, minimally modified, ICE vehicles but with zero emissions.
Just spotted this in "Manufacturing Management" today.
Hydrogen technology company Arcola Energy is to bring up to 135 jobs to the former Michelin site in Dundee over a three-year period, after securing a £1.5million grant from Scottish Enterprise.
Arcola works closely with hydrogen supply partners to ensure that fleets have access to suitable hydrogen refuelling. We are working with BOC on a number of projects to deploy their market-leading refuelling solutions for fleets of heavy vehicles.
We also have a strong relationship with clean fuel provider ITM Power who has a growing number of refuellers across the UK, including several making hydrogen directly from renewable energy.
Note the last paragraph - specifically "a growing number of refuellers" also BOC partnership as BOC owns Linde. I think that would suggest that ITM is plodding along in the background, getting things done!
Anyone know why this share has dropped from 1625 at beginning of February to 1139 today. In the space of about 6 weeks, despite positive news and a clean set of accounts it drops nearly £5!
Thanks Bellers, that information is very useful. Presumably keeping on the old factory , the windmill and the H2 Filling Station means that they will have the capacity to carry out most of the backlog there and further develop new orders etc at the new factory, just down the road.
I thought that, as many others may well have down, that ITM moved lock, stock and barrel from the old factory to the new - but with this info I am certainly encouraged to increase my holding significantly!
Bellers, as your obviously in the area - I'm in Ecclesall and being clinically vulnerable cant get out and about - is the old factory in Atlas still operational - after all that is where the Wind Generator and H2 Fuel station is?
Just wondering - the SP is being forced down - no specific reason for it happening other than sentiment and the world economy! Could it be that the price is being manipulated so that ITM becomes ripe for a takeover bid by a large corporation which is just starting to get in to the green energy field and wants to jump forward based on ITM's expertise and facilities? Comments and/or thoughts welcome.
I am into ITM in a big way having bought many of my shares (all of which are now "Free Floaters") below and just above £1, so lots of tax-free ISA profit sitting in my portfolio.
Yes toneman I see that now as they were both posted at exactly the same time, 1600 hours. Just had a thought - as there is likely to be a pretty full backlog of orders awaiting completion but, because of lockdown etc. haven't yet been dispatched, there must be record of announcements ITM have made over the last 2 or 3 years which would identify what orders there are and what they are for. Probably not always able to identify the customer as many MOAs and Contracts etc are classified "Commercial in Confidence/Secret"
Is there a register of RNSs kept and, if so, where will I find them? Reiterating the order book wouldn't be such a bad idea and it would give us mid/long termers a boost to our confidence that we are right to be hanging on to our shares.
I agree with your sentiments about CWR although my portfolio dropped signifacantly, around 8th March, when the SP dropped like a brick, I sold off enough to recoup my original investment, and still hold quite a few but even with the current rise to the SP I am still a couple of thousand down on what they were prior to the big drop.
Luckily the remaining shares are now "free floaters" so it doesn't really matter what the price is - it's all profit - but I am encouraged by today's rise.
Lots of selling going on - mostly automatic and only a few buys - one would think that today's RNS would have ignited a bit more enthusiasm for a company which is definitely on the up. As has been stated before, because of the lockdown etc. they have a full backlog of projects to be delivered and have been recruiting engineers etc. - which they wouldn't do if they were going down the chute!
It's really quite amazing that BP has decided this and publicised it through CNBC - an American Broadcast service!
A Gigawatt Production facility which can do all sorts of thing, heat homes, provide electricity to residential properties etc.
The same thing happened last month when PLUG announced, through the Governor of New York's facility that they were going to build a Gigafactory, the biggest in the world no less ,to produce hydrogen using PEM Electrolyser Technology! Nowhere does any supporting documentation mention that ITM Power has already built and is using its Gigafactory in the backwater city of Sheffield in the UK and that their partners Linde, Snam and Shell are actively engaged in producing PEM electrolysers to generate Green Hydrogen!
A recent poll of Brokers in New York State indicated that less than 12% had heard of ITM Power and of that only about 2% were aware of its products and manufacturing facilties!
The backwater city quote came from the US press - I wouldn't have stated that about Sheffield which is a vibrant city - also because I live there!

I think you've missed my point - I don't expect to see adverts on the TV - leave that to the Car Manufacturers - but I would expect City , County and Town Councils telling their Citizens/Ratepayers that they are progressing to Clean Air Environments for their areas by replacing their current fleets, when required, by running Hydrogen Fuel Cell powered vehicles and thereby reducing pollution and costs. Sheffield City Council has just done that but they are going to have Battery powered electric vehicles!
I wasn't actually referring to Bus depots within the Sheffield City area as the buses are managed by companies such as First, Stagecoach and a couple of other smaller companies. No, I was talking about all the vehicles used by Sheffield City Council e.g. Refuse collection vehicles, School buses, Special Needs Vehicles, Vans, Cars used by various employees in pursuance of their specific jobs be it Parking Enforcement, Community Care personnel, and many others who are supplied with the appropriate vehicles to carry out their tasks.
If Sheffield, or a city like it, was to take on board the idea of using Hydrogen powered vehicles across its entire Vehicle range there is a high probability that many other cities would follow suit. My point was that as Sheffield City Council is on ITM's doorstep, it would have been a great opportunity for ITM to achieve an order from them. After all Sheffield is on the Hydrogen Map already as ITM's refuelling station is already in the public domain!

Just spotted this link

ITM is advertising for a Marketing Executive to join their Marketing Team.
I take your point about the Target Customer Base, but I wonder why you didn't make any remark on the Sheffield Council reference. It looked to me as a missed golden opportunity to promote H2 for our local City Transport system. Also we haven't seen or heard yet, in any of the Energy/Renewables Journals, of progress with the subdivision dealing with Hydrogen Filling Stations being installed in the UK. There just seems to be a lack of news, as to what's happening, which one would expect from a properly organised Marketing Dept.
The local press expounds the fact that there is a world class factory, leading the world in Green Hydrogen Technology, in the Sheffield/Rotherham area.
