What’s the thinking that the compressor has been put on hold due to being part way through the well permitting appeal process, which if successful any available cash would be best utilised for the well re-stimulations. This would boost production figures vastly and increase income in excess of any added value provided by a compressor at this moment in time. If this happens you can bet John Buggenhagen will be wanting to show his worth in his understanding of the seismic data and utilising it to optimise well production accordingly!?....
Alwaysup,
Test production phase leads to field development plan based on ALL well performance data known to date and the geoligical characteristics of the reservoirs, which I thought Petrol were going to prepare!?....
No point building a gas processing plant without the gas to feed it first and understanding the corresponding well performances/reservoirs and gas composition requiring treatment in order to correctly design it now is there!?...
Alwaysup,
Think you are forgetting about the needs to treat the gas and the finding of routes to so!. This problem was overcome by recertification of pipeline to Croatia and INA deal, which also facilitated the test production phase which is now complete.....
Vermilion just discovered a big gas play in Croatia as announced in their results today below:-
In CEE, we drilled three (2.3 net) exploration wells in Hungary and one (1.0 net) exploration well in Croatia during Q2 2019. Subsequent to the end of the quarter, we drilled and completed a fourth (1.0 net) exploration well in Hungary. Three of the Hungarian wells and the Croatian well resulted in gas discoveries. The Hungarian wells tested at rates of 1.7 mmcfe/d(3) (81% gas), 2.0 mmcf/d(4) and 3.4 mmcf/d(5) respectively. The Croatian well tested at a rate of 15.0 mmcf/d(6).
And INA discovery last week:-
ZAGREB, July 19, 2019 - The INA oil and gas company on Friday announced that it had registered the discovery of a new natural gas bed at the Drava-02 exploration site and that findings of exploration at the Severovci-1 gas well indicate a total of 53,000 cubic metres of gas a day.
Would certainly be nice if Ascent could secure a deal in Croatia where the government actively promotes Oil/Gas exploration to secure its Energy Supply Demands!?....
Hopefully, more news on #AST Growth Strategy within the region will be forthcoming soon then!...
So has John been busy “Actively reviewing those three value-enhancing transactions”???....
PETROL certainly seems to think matters are worth working on!....?......;-)
EXACTLY!.....
Ascent have utilised Petrol Geo’s expertise and resources, one of their biggest customers!...
Could also continue in Croatia too???.....
Petrol Geo need to show they are actively attempting to protect their 40 employees which they are!....
Afrim,
Oh well!... You entitled to your opinion....
The deadline for filing an appeal to the Administrative Court was 15 July 2019 and the partners have filed their appeal.
Certainly looks like our partners PETROL are pulling the stops out!....?....;-)
Maybe busy working on matters which are commercially sensitive!...?....
Well, if he delivers JR.Ewing style (preferably without the Stetson!..lol) I am not complaining!....;-)
Plenty of CHIEF BS’ers on here too!... .
Pinguser5,
John has sufficient industry knowledge and experience to pick and choose!....?....;-)
So has Colin been busy sharpening his pencil and has John been putting his geological expertise to good use????....;-)
Croatia receives four bids for onshore gas and oil exploration:-
ZAGREB (Reuters) - Croatia has received bids from four companies for gas and oil exploration on six blocks in the country’s flat northern areas, state hydrocarbon agency AZU said on Friday.
The tender included seven exploration blocks, but one received no bids, it said. The seven blocks stretch over an area of 14,272 square km.
“We cannot disclose the names of the companies at this stage. We have to wait until an expert commission evaluates the bids,” AZU’s spokesperson Zeljka Rukavina told Reuters.

Kind of thinking New80’ will expand on that someday soon!...?....
They are also penalising their own, as in PETROL!.....?.....
Some of the Slovenian press are stooping to very low standards of late in order to sell their papers!... And it is also fuelled by their political allegiances too!!!....
I would add that the way the Minister Simon Zajc is talking there would imply that he and Jure Leben have used the Environmental Protection Act to outright block the Petisovci project to meet their agendas!. That isn’t the sole purpose of the Act!!!.. Personal biases shouldn’t be involved either, completely unprofessional on both their parts!...
It should be noted from EU guidance:-
A scoping procedure is recommended prior to the preparation of the environmental information to be submitted by the developer. "Scoping" is the stage of the EIA process that determines the content and extent of the matters to be covered in the environmental information to be submitted to a competent authority. Even though the scoping procedure is optional under the EIA Directive, it can be helpful for adequately assessing the environmental effects of unconventional hydrocarbon projects, for which there is not sufficient knowledge. A scoping procedure would not only improve the quality of the environmental information to be submitted, but it would also save time for the developer, as the content and extent of the environmental information required will be known in advance.
Based on the above I KIND OF THINK THE ENVIRONMENT AGENCY HAVE SUFFICIENT KNOWLEDGE of the Petisovci project, as how many wells have been drilled and stimulated without incident to date 50 plus!..
Court here we come!...?....
