Oh okay. Well I'm currently £25k underwater having been £49k up. Thought the 2.71 was the support, how wrong I was. Let's hope for a better week. Can see that gap at 2.36 and 2.92. Where will it go. Huge short interest over the water. Gonna need big balls next week. Shall see if 2.5 holds. If not how low will it go.
Can't see any on here.

This is starting to get very interesting, posted here because if it comes true it could cascade into BK event. Something to watch at the very least IMO.
Because GME had greater than 100% short interest (peaked at 130% IIRC), the only way that could occur is if hedge funds were using naked shorts (shares magicked into existence). After all, you cant loan out the same share to multiple people right? That's not usually a problem if there is enough churn that they can buy shares to erase the naked short at a later date.
Where it does become a problem is if a bunch of deplorables come in and buy up all the shares on the market, it can go wrong by pushing the price up short squeeze wise BUT it can also go wrong if they buy up enough of the naked shorts that the die hard holders have more than 100% of the actual issued capital. In a nutshell, people could have shares in their brokerage account that have been magicked into existence by a hedge fund, which hold no voting or dividend rights (because they don't actually exist).
Needless to say, trying to unf*ck that situation would be emotional: angry mob Robinhooders, Hedge funds with an unlimited liability and law breaking, Banks ultimately on the hook and other investors wondering if the other shares in their portfolio actually exist. Market breaking stuff.
Thanks Tacet, good to see you back. I just hope it holds above 2.71. Do not want to really start averaging down. My pot will get too big. Once it gets in that .6's channel, well I always remember someone pointing out that there is also a gap ~2.36, thats along way down and a big red number for me.
Great feedback. Now where is Geng the Great?
Good to see you back Tacet. What's your thoughts on Monday open and next week? Will the SP hold the current channel? Or drop back into the .6's. Some of us topped up Wed to Fri, thinking 2.71 was the bottom. I think there is a gap at around ~2.54, but also one at around 2.92. Which one do you think te SP will go for. I know yesterday was the last trading day of the month, so a traditional sell off by the leveraged. The MM's took it right down to the bottom of the channel at the death..Any thoughts why? Never thought we would see it down here after the highs of mid January. Nothing fundementally changed at all, OP is more or less the same. Seems a drop to allow the big boys back in or is it being shorted over the pond?
Seen this shorting with BP in September to early November last year.
I went in initially at 2.55. Then again every 5 pence down till 1.88.
I'll do the same here . 10k in at ~1.11. Then tranches at 5 pence down.
Winner winner chicken dinner.
You watch it'll open at 1.20.
Now

The Covid-19 vaccine developed by BioNTech and Pfizer has been shown to work against one of the most concerning mutations in the highly transmissible variants of coronavirus discovered in the UK and South Africa, according to a laboratory study.
Researchers at Pfizer and the University of Texas found that the vaccine can neutralise a virus engineered to contain the N501Y mutation, which had worried scientists because it is in a key position on the spike protein the virus uses to enter a cell.
Scientists tested the engineered virus against antibodies from 20 trial participants who had been vaccinated. The antibodies were able to neutralise the virus just as effectively as when targeting the previous coronavirus variant.
Scientists said the discovery was an important step towards guaranteeing the efficacy of the vaccine against the new variants. However, they cautioned that the study — which has been published online but not yet peer-reviewed — was not proof that the vaccine works against all of the mutations in the UK and South African variants.
Importantly, the vaccine has not yet been tested against another mutation on the spike protein in the South African variant, which a group of scientists warned earlier this week could make some vaccines less effective.
Pei-Yong Shi, a professor of molecular biology at the University of Texas, told the Financial Times that the result was “great news”, adding that testing of the vaccine against the other mutations would continue.
“We should monitor the type of new changes in virus and make sure they remain to be potently inhibited by the vaccine or therapeutic antibodies,” he said. “But if those studies indicate the vaccine is losing its activity against the new strain, then it is ultimately, immediately important to consider switching the sequence.”
Instead of using a virus that was discovered “in the wild”, the scientists genetically engineered the key mutation. Mr Shi said this approach allowed them to isolate those mutations that were most important. The laboratory has not yet obtained samples of the actual UK variant, but expects to receive some next week, he said.
Vaccine makers are eager to test their shots against the new variants as quickly as possible. Mr Shi added that he expected “very similar” results for the Moderna vaccine.
The BioNTech/Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are both based on messengerRNA technology, which could be adapted to cope with new coronavirus variants more quickly than oth
Anyone any thoughts on whether that gap at ~2.72 will get filled next week? Would make a good entry or top up point. Thought we might have visited it Friday but no luck. I'm looking for a top up entry point. Seems a tad high to top up at ~2.99 as we may see a retrace later this month?
