I am also very pleased that the CONDOR programme will support the clinical validation of the rapid saliva-based COVID-19 antigen test strip that we are developing with Cytiva. This, combined with other collaborations that we are putting in place, will provide us with access to a sufficient number of COVID-19 patient samples to allow us to quickly clinically validate the saliva rapid test.

Sir Al said they’ve agreed to validate the LFD. So, he wasn’t lying when he said ‘the test strips detect the spike protein in model samples at concentrations within the clinical range’. That was just the pre-optimised version. If we’ve got a pre-optimised LFD that *works well*, I’m fairly sure by the time Klaus has rung the life out of it we’ll soar (pun intended) through Condor validation with impressive results.

It is fabulous news but it looks like the market were expecting us to be further down the line with validation and clinical testing. But obviously CONDOR provides the perfect platform for this.
It seems that people are in for the LFD test only and nothing else will do. Avacta have got so much more going on though...

8. In parallel with clinical programme; Scale up to production scale. Include Tech transfer and validation batches (again put on stability to generate data)
9. Evaluate data from clinical programme (establishes the Selectivity and Sensitivity of the test) July Wk.2s/wk3/wk4
10. Generate the Regulatory dossier including clinical data, stability data, development data and supporting data from early designs Wk2/wk3/wk4 July
11. Submit Regulatory dossier and if not already ongoing be manufacturing launch stocks 1st August
12. Get approval Wk3 August
13. Start selling Wk3/4 August

Now the issue of samples volume has gone thanks to being on CONDOR we are flying
