You can't! Avacta are going to take covid testing to a whole new level

We have two tests on a government backed scheme for clinical validation. One a clinical laboratory test the other rapid lateral flow.
once that's confirmed then the SP will fly how quickly this process takes is 100% out of Avacta's hands.
And just for balance it is still an if, but all the indications from the company look very positive.

Can't see the other side of the argument but this is gripping stuff :)

as has been said a few times. The timescales for clinical validation are 100% out of Avacta's hands, no delays from Avacta at all!!

News of LFT will be announced when its ready to be announced! all the BIG news we are currently waiting for is out of Avacta's hands:
BAMS and LFT validation
Waste water sensors
blocking therapeutic

We may well get some extra manufacturing partners but there are no delays (or perceived delays) being caused by Avacta

As I posted yesterday this is a clinical process that has to be done right and as boring as it may seem to impatient private investors its worth remembering that Avacta and partners are shoe-horning a process that can take years into half that time.

We pretty much have all the angles covered though, what do we know from COVID-19 related RNS's:

--BAMS test (gold standard hospital test) started clinical validation on 22nd July
----Avacta to begin clinical validation of the high throughput COVID-19 laboratory test in collaboration with the UK government CONDOR programme

--Rapid LFT test is being validated by the Liverpool School of tropical Medicine + CONDOR
-----Avacta and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine collaborate to clinically validate saliva-based rapid corona virus test being developed with Cytiva

--Manufacturing partnership with BBI who have a worldwide presence
----BBI Solutions is a leading global developer and manufacturer of raw materials and finished test products for the in-vitro diagnostics market, with manufacturing sites in five different countries, spanning four continents.
The diagnostics business has also been working at a rapid pace towards ISO13485 accreditation, which will streamline CE marking and other regulatory approval processes.

--Waste water testing
----Avacta Group plc (AIM: AVCT), the developer of Affimer® biotherapeutics and reagents, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a collaboration with Integumen plc (AIM: SKIN) ("Integumen") to evaluate recently generated Affimer reagents that bind the SARS-COV-2 spike protein for the detection of the coronavirus in waste water, to provide a real-time alert system to warn of localised COVID-19 outbreaks.

--We also have a neutralising therapy being explored
----Expansion of Partnership with Daewoong Pharmaceutical to Include COVID-19 Neutralising Affimer Therapy

@vestor there was a long thread about this at the weekend the article talked about ramping up antigen testing. But as was pointed out if you look at the crumlin jobs they are generic rapid test production jobs. They are clearly ramping up for something....

hilarious AW - At the moment AVCT doesn't have many manufacturing partners that I'm aware of. If AVCT can't keep up with UK demand then global demand is neither here nor there really is it.
