Can you explain why CGP will fail to find its share of CAPEX should it come to that?
I think a Newcrest/BHP JV is most likely.
SOLG has done a great job and Porvenir is a fantactic discovery.
I'll take anything north of 75p!
But a bid better come soon because those holes at Porvenir could add another billion to the MC!
The difficulty for Newcrest in any deal with BHP is having to accept it will not be the operator. BHP will absolutely insist on that. See Escondida as an example. But the outcome might not be that straightforward and I'm sure NM is working very hard to find other players. Two obvious ones are Barrick & Newmont. The ~440mt high grade core has 0.87% Cu & 0.86g/t Au and with gold at ~$1900oz Alpala, which has >12moz of gold as well at 3.8mt of Cu, could be viewed as a goldmine with copper credits. I'm looking forward to the big boys' games!

Keep on top of the facts so you are not fooled by the misinformation.
Lots of misinformation about SOLG/CGP/ENSA on this board. It's all cleared up in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=te5wxQNbt4U
Tamesis starts coverage with 177p TP. Most "expert" commentators now expecting a bid by this time next year at AUD4-5!
Your Tubeness, RIO could t/o NCM. Your sprouting b/s.
ATM how much gold is there at Havieron? Anybody actually know? Does RIO have a guru or a crystal ball telling them there's X ounces there?
We still won't know after the 30th.
Hey Grizzle1, a couple of beauties there. I owned one of them. I've been looking around for a comparable orebody but lack knowledge beyond porphyries & IOCGs.
What's your take on something similar elsewhere that we can use as a model? Multiple high grade zones including some very high grade material. Is there a North American example?
Given this story has been around for a while and the proximity to 1 Jan, I wonder if:
a) a fund has had a change of mandate - e.g. change of deed to allow investment on AIM
b) reallocation of money between funds - e.g. switch from tech (FAANG) to gold - some people have been predicting this for a few months
c) new manager with a penchant for gold explorers
d) North American investment newsletter recommending GGP - e.g. Bob Moriarty, he can move a share price and there are 300m of them!
e) add your thoughts
~60m shares traded in the first three hours is impressive.
Anyway, in the end who cares, someone is buying but I thought I'd add to the chatter since there will be no news between now & 30 Jan, then BOOM, home run! Well that' s what we're hoping, whatever your "home run" is.
Spymaster25 it's the cheerleading of the gold price I'm referring to. As soon as this current fracca blows over the price will retreat and then what?
We are holding a great stock with a very good narrative. It's an exploration play & good news on the 30th will shoot SP higher.
Hey Kabaa, have bough & never sold a share. Unless you hold more than 20m shut up. :-)
FM! You three crowing because the gold price has spiked and the company whose shares you hold does not have an orebody defined yet let alone started producing any gold!
Lots of innocent people will likely be "collateral damage" before this latest stoush is over and all you care about is the impact of the rising gold price on your miserable shareholding.
SHAME!
trucky, I just had a look. Twitter has the same b/s as here!
You are one of a few sane ones on this board.
We desparately need 30 Jan NR so we can deal with a few (hopefully a lot!) more facts. It would be great to see if Newcrest has a better idea on where those HGZs are.
That NR in 24 days MAY present one of the best buying opportunities for any stock this year! Just gotta find the cash and be ready to pull the trigger.
