100% agree with your 11:03 post ST123. A very accurately articulated and honest assessment. I too filtered him last week, after giving him the benefit of the doubt for quite some time, but no longer. Good luck everyone.
I don't post here often, but I too have to make some comment about Bhargav. Whilst I respect his views and frustrations being a lth, and the fact that he has seen how utterly awful the BOD have behaved over the recent past, I assume his assertions are borne out of immense bitterness and anger, of which I totally understand, as I too have lost a lot on paper and am shocked (and naïve) as to how AIM is able to allow these sharp practices (that's a polite way of putting it) to hold sway. However, I do think Bhargav is going over the top with his recent passive aggressive and sarcastic comments, none of which help anyone here, completely the opposite in fact. We are all here for the same reason, and even the most positive of us can see that we have been let down badly, but no amount of venting of spleen's is going to help the matter. I wish the board could return to being respectful and non judgmental, and that everyone plays nicely, but at the same time giving honest opinions about the fundamentals in question.
No-one surely wants anyone to fail here, right????
I have now filtered Bhargav.
Many thanks for the very informed post Bhargav. I follow your input with much interest and I think I speak on behalf of many on here that we value your efforts in trying to get some sort of tangible data from this very poor BOD.
Thanks again!
@PortfolioPower, many thanks for this, much appreciated.
Hi all, I'm a holder of a fairly modest amount with OMI and have been quite shocked, like others, at the precipitous fall of value in recent weeks. Like most, I'm sitting on a major paper loss, but am still following progress (or otherwise) and aware of the good fundamentals of OMI. I have a fairly small amount of spare cash to top up my investment, and am looking for a 10 year investment to take me into retirement. What's the overall view on where OMI could/should be over this time frame, and is this a feasible 10 year investment opportunity? Thanks!
I'm a very infrequent poster here and pretty much a novice with shares, but I have to post how dismayed and disillusioned I am with my (modest) investment. I know that share price rises and falls are hard to work out, but I am beginninjg to wonder what on earth will make this share price go up. A positive RNS, even though it's "early days" fails to move the share price up, in fact, quite the opposite. I'm tired of hearing about "MM" games, even though I'm sure people are right with regard to this (even though these games seem to be almost "criminal" activity in an unregulated environment, in my view). What are other's feeling on this? I've been invested for a few years now and it is extremely painful to watch. The world is in turmoil, so I guess this should be factored in, but gold is soaring isn't it? I realise that investors won't necessarily put there money where their mouth is until they see hard evidence of a product, whatever it is, but it's all relative isn't it? Why is this share price so supressed with pretty much positive news?
Sorry for the rant, and this is NOT a deramp, as I myself am invested, but can anyone give any short term hope? (i.e within the next 12 months, ww3 notwithstanding of course).
Thanks!
... as Split Enz would say (musical pun, apologies ;-) )
I don't profess to understand the intricacies of the stock exchange, nor the nefarious shenanigans that go on (I still can't get my simple brain around "The Big Short"!), but even a simple man like me cannot see the correlation between the latest RNS and the current shocking drop in SP. Does this seem coordinated between unscrupulous pump and dump buyers/sellers? The whole of last week dramatically grew and then, almost timed to the button for Monday morning, the walls came tumbling down, so to speak. Is what I've described feasible, or am I being too simplistic?
This share sure is a test of nerve, but I always try and concentrate on the fundementals and not get carried away by hyperbole and scare mongering - but this share really is a test of nerve. I'm commited though, and I won't sell - but these sort of "games" really do put a lot of honest investors off.
@camperdown @Amanensia @ElectricLion : many thanks for the insight, much appreciated. I guess it adds weight to not believing conspiracy theroes and use logic and reasoning every time. I've often wondered about why the reds and blues don't tally up on a daily basis in order to reflect what the share price should be, now I know. It makes me wonder though - why bother publishing these trades at all? It's all guess work and misleading.
Very enlightning guys, thank you :-)
Hi all, this is my first post on here and I wondered if someone could shed some light on how MM's manipulate shares. I've got a reasonable amount of shares in OMI and have done for a couple of years, but I'm not au fait with how tha markets work, so excuse my ignorance. How do MM's actually drive the price down and how are they allowed to do this? I'm a long term holder, but I get increasingly worried as to how the share price is so volatile - is this all to do with MM's? I guess day traders love this share too. I'm not considering going anywhere, I have an overall profit on paper, but I like others become twitchy and nervous and quite frankly bemused when the price comes tumbling down on no news.
Any info would be welcome for this relative newbie :-)
Thanks!
Newbie PRD shareholder here, hi everyone. I'd just like to praise "Predators" for his posting back on the 13th Sep :
"Some profit taking happening . .. watch for 6.8 mid price in the next couple of days. .. patience before buying in ."
The "next couple of days" lasted a bit longer than that, but the share price closed around 6.80 on Friday and we can see what's happening this morning. Excellent prediction!
