But is the £1.7b credit facility still available in the wake of the latest banking crisis or has that been pulled and the banks are now asking when RM are going to stop racking up £1m+ a day losses, plus doesn't RM have to re-finance it's debts shortly? If they do then this article maybe of concern with one small business owner quoted a 15% (ouch!) interest rate by his bank.

Given approximately half your post is hand sorted what other system could be brought in? The best solution is to contact everybody of any importance and get them to change your address on their records, then it's only junk type mail which may not be re-directed due to human error.
I assume you realise it's just a case of a postie manually redirecting your mail, it's not some fantastic computer program doing it, if for whatever reason they forget to do it one day then you'll get mail delivered to your former address.
"We have met with Royal Mail Group today. Negotiations are continuing. Our postal executive will meet tomorrow afternoon.
We understand how important it is to communicate directly with members and we will do everything possible to bring you an update as soon as we can. This will be Wednesday at the very latest."
Not sure whether the CWU Postal Exec meeting tomorrow was a pre-arranged meeting, if it wasn't then it's not clear why they are meeting.
If my DO is anything to go buy any new starter leaves after a couple of years when they realise what's expected of them and they can get better pay elsewhere.
As far as posters suggesting that Tracked are not given priority just needs to speak to their own postie and they will confirm it's nonsense to say they are not and neither IA nor COVID as anything to do with them being given priority.
Most posties who do leave seem to manage OK in their new jobs and it's very rare one ever returns to being a postie? Regardless if all the CWU members took your advice and left how are RM going to replace them when they struggle to replace even one member of staff leaving?
I sense the best thing for all concerned is the sides thrashed out an agreement PDQ , whether it's now in the CWU's favour to do that is debatable as I sense they've got the Board just where they want them, squirming!

There must be real concerns from that Tweet that contempt charges are now being considered, although apparently some posters on here feel there's nothing to be concerned about!!
What planet do you lot live on, it was an absolute shocker from ST, didn't you watch the MP's final comments about "humanity". I'll await the PC's report with interest, as it's pretty clear they are concerned RM are prioritising parcels over letters and have no interest in the USO.
JB - I think at this point there is no need for anymore formal face to face discussion…..all cards are on the table from both sides.
The business is continuing on with the plan and the union will carry on striking if that’s what they want to do.
Sooner or later one side will give way but at this moment in time I can’t see it being the business."
There's a meeting due to take place at ACAS on Monday and ST is giving big hints a joint stadium is going to be released ahead of the meeting. Hopefully both sides appreciate they need to move on their positions before RM self implodes.
"Delivery spans will increase whether we like it or not. Whether they are achievable or not. Collapsing of duties as opposed to full office revisions."
I know that's happening but your previous post suggested it was taking place use to mail being light for the last 2 days? My DO was like a typical Wednesday today (a day later than usual because of the BH) so no real proof that mail has dropped off so far.
If the strikes aren't working then why is now RM forecast to be making £690m losses, which is around double what they expected to make before the IA? Losses seems to be the only barometer to use to see if IA is being effective or not?
Surely any savings RM intended making with the changes to the T&C's have already been wiped out by these losses?
This is all over Workplace, one poor guy off with stress hasn't been paid for 2 weeks and is latest pay slip suggests he now owes RM £50!!
I'm no employment law expert but I'm surprised RM can just (unofficially) rewrite their sickness policy and then enforce it with immediate effect. Unless you are due to have an op etc then how can anybody have a Doctors Certificate on Day 1 of any sickness?
