It is being said that Afren are just about to finalise some sort of acquisition that involves both oil and gas and an announcement is to be made within the next month or 2. Gasol is to be a big beneficiary of the deal and are expected to operate the gas side of things. There will also be a third party involved as well. It is also being said that in preparation for this there will be an organizational restructuring of Gasol which has already begun from what I understand. Afren is said to be making staffing changes at Gasol to get ready for this and this could extend to management changes as well. I stress that this is only a rumour and should be taken as just that, I would however mention that things are not always as discreet as they should be over here and it wouldn't be the first time there was some truth in something like this. A chauffer hears something he shouldn't, a secretary, a cleaner, an accountant being paid peanuts, etc etc or even management themselves coming to think of it :) To my mind it is one of those things that one can just watch out for especially regarding Gasol because if things start to happen over there we will know why.
