Thank you for your considered post, but, IMHO, it smacks of a typical panic sell, when, IMHO, it's the time to be buying in and/or topping up. The view of a chart confirms my view, purely because I take very little, if any notice of chartists, and never have done so. Good luck in you strategy, and, as always, only time will tell.

Sorry, but you seem to totally misunderstand investing! IF you think that your investment should rise, continually, for ever, upwards, then, sorry, but, to be quite straight, you're clueless! If that was the case then everyone and their dog would be buying every share available!

Now, if you look at GGP, out of all the millions of shares available, then the fundamentals should tell you something. If you don't get it, then that's just fine, but, thankfully many people do, and that's the difference! TT

Nadia Yaqub is actually better informed than most of them at Motley, and has generally been a champion of GGP for some time now.

With respect I've also been patient on the many similar occasions we've seen similar drops, eg. when the sp dropped from around 2.4p to 1.1p. That was when I was topping up, just like I'm doing again now.

...Newcrest had US$1,744 million of cash on hand at 31 December 2020 and has access to a further US$2 billion dollars in undrawn committed bilateral bank debt facilities.

IMHO, it's been, and is still shorted, period, whatever the 'system' says.

Clearly I know and appreciate that others are in a different financial situation/strategy to myself in terms of GGP investment, but, quite frankly I don't care. Believe me, I've seen it all before in over 40 years of investing, but just look at the fundamentals. If you're in short term, then maybe it's not the best share for you. GGP is a mining exploration company, and it takes time!!

That all said, just look at Havieron, as others have stated, a once, maybe two generational find, that many geologists in their 40 year career will never see, still open in all directions and at depth!

Quite frankly, I can't say anything more!

It's basically when the people who have shorted the share take it well below the fundamental value (which, as most of us already know, that's well above the current GGP sp, largely underpinned by Havieron alone, which is still open in all directions and at depth!) That then can cause a rapid increase in the price of the share, owing primarily to an excess of short selling of a stock rather than those underlying fundamentals. A short squeeze then occurs when there is a lack of supply and an excess of demand for the stock due to short sellers having to buy stocks to cover their short positions. TT

As you probably know, Gervaise Heddle, in his last Proactive interview, stated, "All of those three holes that I just mentioned, they've all got approximately 0.5% Copper n them and that's very valuable and I'd remind people the value of that Copper in the system in addition to the Gold grades we're seeing."
