Agreed. The very fact that Sandeep Biswas said last week that they'd have the Red Chris PFS "by the end of September", and Havieron "...expected... in the second half of this year" would imply, in my mind anyway, that Havieron won't be in September. Of course i could be wrong, but that's what I get from what was stated.

As far as i know there has been do decision made yet on the means to be used to transport ore to Telfer. The modes that are being considered, include:

• Truck haulage
• Conveyor
• Rail
• Pipeline

The documentation lodged for the Havieron mine licence application stated that "Studies are underway to assess the suitability of the above modes of transport as well as the location of the transport corridor. The location and mode of transport option will depend on the tonnages required to be transported, the topography, environmental and cultural heritage considerations and will be subject to all necessary permits and regulatory approvals."

Yup, that says it all volvic. One of their other 'growth' projects is Wafi-Golpu, which, as I've stated numerous times before, is currently going nowhere, and has been little mentioned by Newcrest, indeed sidelined, for well over a year now!

Havieron is clearly the 'bee's knees' for them, and it's so clear that that's the case from all recent presentations!

Sometimes i really don't know what to say more than I have for some considerable time now, but, please just do some research, and, if you snooze on this one, you'll clearly lose!

It depends on the exact date in August last year, but, a week after the last Newcrest Mining Full Year Report 2020 the GGP share price more than doubled, in the space of 1 month, from 13p to over 27p! ;-)

Yes, absolute nonsense. SD stated yesterday that it would be 2-3 years to production at Havieron, and he made it quite clear that they are "well and truly on the fast track", and that he wants to "get the cash flowing as soon as you can".

...So, IMHO, it would be fair to say that Havieron PFS won't be in September, but sometime in Q4 2021.

"We're finalizing pre-feasibility our Havieron pre-feasibility study and expect to release its findings in the second half of this year."

Thanks Bamps, and again, I basically agree with what you say. Another comment from SB, namely, "There is no question that, over time, Havieron will probably need more than one mining method".

I just feel that they want just a bit more time to get more data for the PFS, even though, as SB makes clear, we're pretty much 100% looking at getting at the high grade crescent ore ASAP, to get "cash flowing" followed by the other ore areas.

Thanks Dip, and I agree with all you say. I also believe that the PFS is more likely in Q4 2021, than September. I guess that the thrust of my point is also mentioned in the JORC code, which states that the "Pre-Feasibility Study will identify the preferred mining, processing, and infrastructure requirements and capacities, but will not yet have finalised these matters." I just think that they need more time, based on SB's comments, to even have the 'preferred' mining requirements data available. Indeed, that could be, surely, partly down to assay delays, although that doesn't seem to have been much of an issue for Newcrest.

Anyway, just some thoughts, and, as always, only time will tell! TT

Sandeep Biswas mentioned this matter (mining methods) a few times. He stated, as another example, "Look at the other areas, which are yet to fully drilled out, you'll see that there are different shapes and also different grade profiles, which may, if they prove to be contiguous, open up to some other more bulk type mining methods. So it's very much work in progress. It's really exciting."

OK, I'll be straight here, it has crossed my mind, and I'd be interested to hear other views of course, but I just have a feeling that, if there is a slight delay in the PFS, which, from recent statements on datelines, seems possible, it may well be because Newcrest/Greatland still need further drilling data to use on the future mining methods to be incorporated in the PFS.

Whenever someone makes statements about the same thing several times in a short period, I'll often think more deeply about it to see if they're trying to 'say something'.

OK, I could well be, and probably am, but that's just what I feel. It's certainly not a bad thing! The very fact that they may need significantly more data, is probably largely because Havieron is so huge, and open in multiple directions & depth. That's Good! TT

This is discussed here, and on just about every BB, ad infinitum. There's no point in bringing it up constantly, it won't make any difference whatsoever. People love to engage with trolls! Fact! Some of the longest threads on this BB is doing exactly that. I don't know why some people are unable to just ignore them. It's really simple. I've never filtered anyone on this site.

I've always understood it to be, and, as Sandeed Biswas stated again today, "2-3 years for the first production from Havieron."

Mineralization remains open in multiple directions outside of the initial estimate, which indicates the possibility for the resource continue to grow over time with our additional plan drilling activities.

We have extensive growth drilling program at Havieron, which is delivering some really exciting results. we have discovered a higher grade, contain some of the highest grade we have seen so far, which highlights the potential to add higher grade ounces to the resource."
