An excellent piece from MiningMaven, with some really positive highlighted quotations from Shaun Day about what we have at Havieron, and potentially elsewhere in our great portfolio of tenements, especially in the Paterson.

Back up to $1800 again this morning. It'll be interesting to see if it breaches that $1812 resistance again today. It touched $1814 on Friday before the fallback to around $1780.

@ JB Any 'malarkey' is brushed off by me, and I'm pretty sure,by the vast majority of investors, without any thought, whatsoever!

We surely know where this is going, and the daily idiots on this forum are, quite simply, ignored!

It's really quite simple, but, I also need to say, that, sadly, some people feel the need, and increasingly so, to feed the trolls!

For the uninitiated, and, let's be honest, sometimes we need to get back to basics for the people who don't have time to read much research (and I have no problem with that, whatsoever!), but, in legal terms, we've had proven, a fraction of a fraction of what we really have at Havieron! That's Havieron alone! It doesn't even include, what is increasingly becoming a better bet that we'll find another, even maybe numerous Havieron's in the Paterson region, let alone an increasingly large mother lode at the 'original' Havieron!

The coming drill assays, on Thursday (Wednesday night in the UK) IMHO, will prove nothing less...If I'm wrong, I'll eat my words, but I really don't think I'll need to! Most of us know where this is going medium/long term, and, as I've said so many times before, if you snooze, you lose!

Just as a sideline, purely personal in nature, I really do hope that any shorter's get fried over the next few months! There's not much that myself, and others, could surely wish for! I hear that there are several 40' containers of bicycle clips on the water from China, ready for that day! :-)

One broker thinks that the Newcrest Mining share price could rise to $32 over the next 12 months. That is where the broker calculates a price target, where analysts think the share price will be in 12 months. So, not necessarily where the broker thinks the business will be by the end of the year.

Credit Suisse has a price target of $32 on the gold miner...

...Regarding gold, by 2030 Newcrest Mining said it has a “strong” base case gold production of approximately 2 million ounces per annum, assuming execution of the PFS projections, but before any potential expansions or upside.

All four organic growth options for Newcrest – Cadia, Red Chris, Havieron and Lihir – have PFS that are estimated to deliver an internal rate of return of 16% or higher. It also projected that the group all-in sustaining cost (AISC) could fall by more than 50% from current levels by FY30. This could help increase the Newcrest Mining share price over time.

Newcrest also said that there is significant upside potential, with “growth optionality beyond stage 1 project parameters as well as exploration upside”.

The intention of Newcrest Mining is to fund all four projects through operating cash flow and existing liquidity.

The first production of gold and copper at Red Chris Block Cave is expected to be FY27 and for Havieron in the second half of FY24. The Lihir Phase 14A is expecting first ore in the fourth quarter of FY22...

Let's hope that the GGP shorter's are getting very worried again, and that their nether regions are rumbling...attack on both sides now....FOMO with next weeks results AND the POG rising!

Having read the description, my big concern with this device, is if it can actually truly register the record Au levels that we've seen at Havieron in some of the cores! ;-)

Thanks Paddy, all important of course. I'm especially interested in the growth drill results, which should support the potential expansion of the existing Inferred Mineral Resource, especially if we don't get it published until January/February.

Well, according to the last update on the 9th September, and the GGP RNS:

-- A further EIGHT GROWTH drill holes have been completed with samples awaiting assay, anticipated to be received and reported in the next update.

-- These holes are part of the ongoing Growth Drilling programme, targeting:

-- Northern Breccia: Zone of initial focus aimed at providing support for the potential expansion of the existing Inferred Mineral Resource.

-- Eastern Breccia: Drill testing and interpretation of the geological and mineralisation controls.

-- South East Crescent and Breccia: Ongoing targeting of potential resource definition below the existing resource shell and lateral extensions adjacent to the existing high-grade resource shell .

-- TEN INFILL holes have been completed in the South East Crescent, with samples awaiting assay, anticipated to be received and reported in the next update .

The September 2021 Quarterly Report from Newcrest Mining is expected next Thursday morning, 28th October in Australia.

Shaun Day was hoping for December, but could be January/February. Newcrest hold the cards on that!

The pressure on the share price, Biswas added is “also coupled with the fact that we’ve never really given the longer-term outlook, but just the 12 months guidance. Now, as of last week, we do have that longer-term outlook out there. And I think that’s really informed the market a lot better about what our future is.”

"Because of our ability with mining bulk underground ore bodies, we explore deeper than most other companies. Because a lot of companies who explore deeply, if they found something, they couldn’t do anything about it. Whereas we can. That in itself leads you to look also for copper gold porphyry and gold copper porphyry deposits…"

“Gold seems to be so yesteryear. Any bolt-ons on crypto for Newcrest?”

The short answer there was, “No.”

“I think there’s a realisation now that they are very different. Gold is physical. If the internet goes down you still have your gold bar. You can touch it… change its form. And it does have some uses, more and more in electronics and medicines, and jewellery, obviously.”

His recommendation?

“If you have a Bitcoin or crypto portfolio, put a good chunk of gold in there, because it actually reduces your volatility. So, they may ultimately be more complimentary than working against each other.”

Which, as we all know, or most of us, at least, has been the case for years now already!

For anyone, with any doubt, whatsoever, Havieron is more than likely to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, gold/copper mother lodes for a generation, at least, probably more.

As always, please do your own research, and, if, like many of us, you're a long term shareholder, just ignore the short, even medium term noise, especially from the usual short term, dare I say it, idiots!
