RE: Poolbeg21 Jul 2021 14:10
POLB shares appeared in my HL ISA and Fund & Share accounts yesterday showing correct number of allocated shares and correct total cost (calculated at 10.27p per share). My ORPH holding remained unaffected - same number of shares, same total purchase value.
However, this morning the total cost of the POLB shares has been deducted from the total purchase cost of my ORPH shares, although the total number of ORPH shares held remains the same. The deduction is shown in the ORPH trading transactions. As such, the profit/loss amount and percentage are no longer accurate as they are based upon a lower total cost figure.
I spoke with HL first thing and they said it was an accounting process and the value of the POLB shares would be reinstated to my ORPH value once the 9 month lock in expires. Has this appeared in anyone else's HL account? If so, perhaps someone could provide a layman's explanation as to why HL do this and how it will effect my ORPH holding, as I didn't understand the explanation HL gave, despite me asking him to repeat it twice.
