Hi Columbo I tend to agree and will hold and add when possible. Very impressed with the FOGL board and with a low avg in DES its worked out to be a very good deal. Good thing about FI stocks is they generally do well as soon as soon as there is a wiff of the rig and they will have rig down there for a long time starting late next year. If AIM Oil starts recovers next year and we start to see M&A activity, this will be a great starting point. GL
Once deal is completed I wonder what the trading will like. No doubt fogl will drop in the short term..... Any thoughts
I know that Des changed accountancy reporting method around 12 months ago and from memory I think they now show all previous drilling costs as a trading loss rather than a capital loss or the other way. Which meant once they received money be it income ( unlikely as they have mad it clear they have no plans to go in to production) or from sale of asset etc they would enjoy x amount per share tax break. Its clear if you read the RNS its about a year ago as I say its all from memory.

I suggest you re-read your post. Then re-post .This time try and make sense. However if you consider the money invested in Greece so far by the EU to be money well spent, you should probably take the time and understand what this represents to Greece long term. Then look at the crazy interest rates that they are having to pay on thier loans long term. Then you will understand its simply not sustainable and that applies to more countries than Greece. Hence why the Euro could fail.
Will be topping up again shortly my avg here is 22p . But looking to add as I see this as the Best FI play over the short to medium term Interesting times
Thanks you are a gent
You have summed that up mate in one word . Nepotism ! Good posts from you and Schlonberger. I was going to add to my Des holding on Monday in leiu of the price and as I own more than the exploration director and FD combined (A lot more) i hope my research and faith is rewarded. In your opinion would my next purchase be a short, medium or long term hold ? To clarify short term would it hinder me topping up in time for our African play ? GL to you and Schlonberger I've enjoyed the forward thinking
That is encouraging to hear mate and thx for the cryptic message, which makes a lot of business sense. Also reminds me of your early Des posts regarding PMO and its future operations in the NFB. Makes a lot more sense mate than Borgo and one legged pete and that parrot !!! Im sure you remember those heady days of the early drilling of SL
I agree totally, my niggle is premiers balance sheet, financially they are now fully committed. Time will tell mate
Read the R Poodle post iii . For me he nails it ! Take a read, Marlon as always provides an excellent summary. Still very happy holding and in IMO Des 2012 are at the mo the best Falklands play GL
Thanks very much, any thing you can post would be appreciated !! GL
That`s very possible IMO and makes complete sense

Why did the lamb sell so quickly after the FOGL rns. Beggars belief sometimes. Good day lets close over 25p and start moving back to 30p quickly please. Been a long summer for Des, RKH agm tomorrow
Good work mate ! Completely on the same page as you regarding what happens next scenario. But pending on what happens next and the farmin would steer my exit ! If Des stays with a first class farmin in partner that completely take over, leaving des as back seat drivers. It then makes at compelling 3-5 year investment for me at the price Im in at. Horses and courses mate, have a good week end
