George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
All good, just a market requirement RNS.
On a positive, loads of interviews and video coming out from Oliver since IPO and given our 60+% holding in sticky hands( we can't sell) that's going to start dragging our SP up soon
Part 3
Each programme has their own specific details but I won't go into those now as this is already long winded enough. What I can say is that the US is ACTIVELY looking to secure domestic metal supplies (with a emphasis on defense metals), and this is really the FIRST time in history it has been this way. So this government support angle is something we are actively pursuing and much of my time is currently going towards this part of the business (for obvious reasons). It is important that I say that there are no gaurentees that Golden Metal or any other company will receive funding from any of these programmes, but I can say that some companies are in MUCH better position than others and that these grants are very very real. Hopefully this helps. As mentioned anything beyond this will have to be covered in a future RNS.
Part 2
how advance it is (more advance the better - they are not looking to fund grassroots projects), the commodity it covers, as well as the level of funding you are asking for and where those monies will be deployed. Once that is submitted within ~2 months (I am told it can be closer to 1-1.5 months depending on time of year etc) you will hear back as to whether or not you have made it to the next round. If you make it to the next round your chances of getting the funding are very high (>95%) and in fact very few who make it to the second round do not receive funding. During the second round you submit much more detailed program plans, and they look into things like your capital stack (do you have any Russia shareholders etc.). That process takes upwards of 9-12 months but the great thing is you know quite quickly if you make it to that stage and you can plan the course of the business accordingly. Also there is no limit to how many times you can apply for DPA III (as long as the application has changed from previous applications, e.g. your project is now more advance and you need funds for a different part of the development). So these are specifics for DPA III.
Here's Oliver's answer to my question last night re the grant application process, A lot of detail but well worth the read
So in regards to grants I can speak more broadly about the process but at this time wont go into too many details regarding Golden Metal Resources specifically. We will be releasing a RNS' in the future which will cover this so until then I can't say too much. With that being said, as many investors are acutely aware there has been a significant paradigm shift in the US (and around the world) when it comes to securing domestic sources of strategic, defense and battery metals. The US is by far an away putting the most money of any country in the world towards this cause. Which is great for us. Many departments including Department of Minerals (DOM), Department of Commerce (DOC), Department of Energy (DOE) as well as Department of Defense (DOD) have multiple pools of capital (mostly funded directly from federal government) to put towards this cause (there are other departments as well but these are some of the main ones). Each department has their own specific agenda when it comes to types of projects they are looking to then deploy these grants to (and a important note is that most funds are being deployed are grants - so not repayable which is really fantastic as they are completely non dilutionary sources of capital). What is really interesting is that Pilot Mountain bridges the gap between many of these departments so there are a wide range of grants that could be available to us. With that being said, for instance if you are dealing with the DOE their main mandate is to put funding towards battery metals projects (including the likes of lithium) so this means that the department has to deal with all of the lithium applications so the process can take longer. With the department of defense, the list of metals they are looking to secure is much smaller (and tungsten is very safely on that list), and on top of that, the DOD has one of the biggest budgets to put towards their cause which I am told recently was upped to $250,000,000 for this upcoming fiscal year. So considering the fact that the US has no tungsten mines active at the moment (Pilot Mountain being the largest and most advance tungsten deposit in the USA), and they are hugely reliant on China for their tungsten imports it should be clear which angle we are pushing the hardest. On top of that, the DOD announced recently that as of Jan 1 2026 all imports from China/Russia/Iran and North Korea of tungsten are BANNED from being used by the DOD. So within 3 years they need to find new friendly and/or domestic sources to fill this very large hole in their annual imports. So this is the backstory. In terms of the actual grants one of the DOD’s is called the Defense Production Act (DPA) III Program. The way you appply for this is you submit what is called a White Paper, it is a relatively short document (less than 10 pages) which outlines what your project is, how ad
Oliver is already very engaged and chatty on the Telegram group and inviting questions. Last night I asked him
One thing I am very intrigued in is what the process of applying for the US grants looks like? Is it weeks, months, years? Also, does the fact that Pilot Mountain already has a recognised Jorc W reserve streamline that process for you?
And his answer (within minutes) was...
Thats a fantastic question Tiggrrr. It will take me a bit of time to write up my response as I have a lot of information on this topic so will make sure I get that typed up and sent here sometime tomorrow.
To which I replied
Thanks Mr Friesen, I'll bet there's a few here and on POW are keen to know a bit .
I'll post his reply on here when I see it
As an added extra, check this Zak Mir interview with Oliver the day before AIM launch

Your answer struck a chord with me Nth, the last couple of years have been painful!! Here and there and every fkn where
So I asked Oliver in the new GMET telegram group the following this evening...

Oliver is very chatty on that group, if you have questions join and ask him directly! With the pilot mountain asset alone, forget the rest of the world investor's interest, being focused on the US alone, this could be a company maker for POW let alone GMET. I know this sounds RAMPY but ffs, aren't we all here for it to actually work and we actually make some money like the original idea we had that got us all into this in the first place?
Roger, I feel your pain, I'm 50ish% down with far too big a position in POW for my portfolio but have taught myself to check in on it a bit less day to day or even just a few times a week. It's really helped me, as has the maturity (most of the time, not so much the last few days, but I have faith in them) of the telegram group .
Seriously though Roger, I've said it before, is AIM the right thing for you, watch the blood pressure!
As my close, Oliver's only been trading 2 days, these are slow moving things, GMET has to get it's traction, but it's got some fkn serious catalysts to make it happen! Then, and only then, after that momentum gains will the market recognise it in POW.
Just my thoughts...Stay safe Roger, I said it a lot a while back before I stopped posting on here so much, I check in every now and again
GLA LTHs. Sticky hands!
