Energy's way to expensive in the UK to make a serious volume. My business uses a lot of glass jars which are 40% up this year. The gov't has to raise taxes from somewhere now they've reduced tobacco consumption so much. Our fuel is over 40% duty in the UK, no way we'll ever be a major producer again with that stance. The fuel in US and Oz is so much lower on duty and they are therefore way more industrial in manufacturing. As we switch to electric vehicles expect duty to increase there. Do you remember how diesel used to be 20% cheaper than petrol (if you're old enough) as it was perceived less polluting a couple of decades ago, now that's flipped.
Anyway, Saturday rant!
DSO will always have a market, I really don't feel we need to worry too much on that front. The Chinese gov't could create downward buying pressure a bit but if they want it they need to pay, others will if they won't. I can see they may well stockpile and then use that to manipulate the markets though so that might be something to watch. To stockpile enough to do that though would probably be as much as we have in Hanc0ck
I had a look back at the rns from 22/03 where it was announced that we had a 100% interest in Munni Munni. Artemis got 358.6m shares, Platina got 138.7m shares leaving Artemis with a 7.55% interest in UFO and Platina with a 2.94% interest. I'm getting the impression that there may have been pressure from the former Munni Munni parties to get someone in who can get the project up and running quickly...... Thoughts?
That info needed to get out, I reckon it's been around for a while, the RNS is very matter of fact, not trying to dress it up. Sales are on again for LTH's wanting a top up and then light the fuse. We know our trump cards and our strengths, none of that has changed. Market will dip on this info and then bounce IMO
There's a huge amount of work gone into getting this far, well done to the team at POW. Once they get GMR over the line we should start to see the bigger picture of how the market will perceive POW's model. There's going to be plenty of newsflow through the second half of 22
GLA
Very true CJ.
That was the fall of Aston Martin so many times over the decades. A company of amazing engineers who made astounding cars but when it came to managing the business, like kids in a sweet shop, no control.
I'm going to sit and wait, not very patiently, for some interviews and Q&A sessions. Although will Rod be able to do that whilst being onboarded or are there AIM market restrictions on that?
Something certainly woke it up today, interestingly, there's very little pre 1920 sterling coins on e bay, usually loads for sale at realistic auction prices but there's only a couple of lots at the moment, lots of silver coin lines out of stock on Atkinson's bullion. Silver is 1:88 against gold at the moment, well out of kilter!
I agree Metal but the initial focus has to be to generate a solid long term income from the DSO which can then be used to firm up and de risk the EH and Munni Munni proposition. If we can get the dollars rolling in without another raise we'll be laughing all the way to the bank with a multibagger
I'm sad to hear Bill is standing down, he's done a stellar job to date and I'm really glad to hear he's staying on from a geo point of view, hopefully long term.
Hopefully we get a few interviews or Q&A sessions over the next few days and weeks and see what Rod's all about. The company has grown so much under captain Bill's watch and we're in the territory of needing a strong corporate lead now. Great challenge for Rod, lets see how he picks up the reigns. If you're reading this Rod, get the DSO rolling and get the $$$ in before pushing further on Munni Munni or lizzie hill....no more raises!!!! Apart from raising Silver out of the ground!
I've just topped up today at .619p to tip me over the 4m shares mark and help average down. I've got a few years on you Steigers, most of my holding is in a SIPP which I can't access for at least another 4 years and the rest in an ISA so I'm long on this. Similarly I've got a large %age of my total investments in here. It's the DSO that really got my interest initially, Lizzie hill and Munni Munni are an enormous bonus but the idea of an explorer turning profitable and self sufficient is huge. Although, to be honest, my holding here has turned me into a bit of a silver bug and that's also a growing physical pile now, especially at today's prices!
I see a quiet month or 2 for the sp over the summer months but Q4 should be quite interesting.... mining permits, Brockman core results, offtakes announced, haul roads going in before the wet season, build of the screening pads, potentially a JV/Disposal of the Sirius extension to Reinhart's crew next door. Could be a very happy Christmas for the Aliens!
I'd be very surprised for you to not be sitting pretty by Q3 23 Steigers, but like uktrader says, if we hit 2 to 3p, why not take your initial and surf the wave on a free ride
Keep it up Max, you may be foolishly optimistic (like me), but the world needs more people who live in a land where their glass isn't just half full, it's just not big enough.... Bounce bounce tiggrrr!!!
Have a great summer weekend all, take a chill pill, forget the markets for a while and hang out with the important peeps in your life... Minus the phone!
