What would have happened if NCM had spent $$$65 M , or $$$200 M, or whatever and the prospect was a dud, or unmineable , or too deep , or full of old seashells. That is how JV's work . With Karlajartu, - it has turned up not just a winner, but one of the largest potential gold deposits in the world in the last 30 years , ....... and will maybe be still bigger than that. NCM have a processing plant up the road.........had you forgotten. So |GGP who are a tiddly little exploration company ( were , sorry ), and are now emerging with a huge 50 year life revenue , or a few billions to jog off and repeat the exercise. That is the way business works. So who is getting a bad deal ????? Lucky old NCM , and amazingly fortunate GGP and their LTH shareholders . Bring on the next JV.

@@@ Rotherby, - NCM could not acquire GGP shares without making a public declaration as to that intention, ...... and that would result in the shares quadrupling. That 25% share is worth around $$$1 Billion plus .....plus .....plus.

Absolutely WRONG - Coldgas. The shares in GGP are approx 75% owned by private individuals. There are enough LTH's on this board to prevent any private buy out. The Stag gang could stop one. And NCM would put their boot in . They do not want to lose their best mate.
So do some research and come up with another wild theory.

@@@ Dip666...: The growing pessimism and anxiety that you refer to Dip is only a natural occurrence when ones expectations are high, BUT the SP has not moved in accordance with those expectations. A minute nerve somwhere at the back of the brain twitches.
Everything you state is absolutely correct . and all those pessimisms / anxieties will evaporate into thin air in a flash when the ( right ) news hits the fan and the SP moves sharply back into the twenties .
We are due a load of ( right ) news between now and Xmas, - maybe some in the next couple of weeks when some serious drill bit core results get released. The daft thing is that most of us are anxious to a degree despite KNOWING that near 100% of those cores contain glitter, - lots of glitter - but just do not comprehend ( me included ) why the market continues to flatline. And we are almost certain of lots of other exciting news - but at the moment all of it is 600 meters under cover.
When it breaks surface .....OMG !!!
But keep up up your excellent reassuring summaries alongside the Zoros Roadmap ( how fortunate we humble BB members are to have such regular updates ) . The GGP Encyclopaedia.

Shaun gives lots of super inferences , lots between the lines, lots of excited potential , lots of comforting reassurances to we SH's that Karlajartu is the bees knees, bigger and better than all his previous jobs , probabilities that some of our other prospects are good enough to have the hell drilled out of them in the next 12 months, ( " brilliant targets ," he says ), World Class assets, the under cover - underexplored treasure chest well within the technical competence of the current GGP / NCM arrangement, ........ but of course, - no names - no specifics. Quite understandable.
But little doubt that this is massive, that it will proceed at speed, and that it will succeed.
I love it, ......but just wish the market would reflect all the above......... as it will in due course.

In 60 years of investing , I have never before seen a share like GGP, forever gushing good news, bigger and better deposits, progressing at the rate of a louis Hamilton driven Formula 1 Mercedes, working in JV with one of the best gold mining companies in Oz., with a processing plant just up the road desparate for feed, no shortage of $$$$$'s, with everything going Right , and nowt going wrong, ................. and yet we get an inexplicable , oscillating to no specific purpose .flatlining for no known reason , ...................Tomorrow never comes.

The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia chief executive Paul Everingham emphasised the need for such investment.

Am just reprinting this link again to keep it right to the fore of this BB's thinking . It is my opinion that Alistair Ford has been diligently reading up on all of Bamps , Hydros , Paddys , posts ( and of course mine ) in order to produce his most excellent exposition on GGP.
Not that I have ever been in doubt, but is it not great to have someone like Alistair repeat what I believe so powerfully. And I reckon it will be worth reprinting the link every few days . Then there will be little else to debate until the next set of Glittering assay cores arrive on the scene , ( not long now ) and prove how understated Alistair Ford has been.

Alistair Ford writes some brilliant stuff on Karlajartu, and almost certainly he has the usual commentaters / writers caution.
And similar write ups from other journos and brokers , all enthusiastic but reserved / cautious.
Not a negative word.
They have all had the benefits of reading and digesting the erudite calculations of our own resident ( unnamed ) geniuses / genii ?? who also exercise similar caution in arriving at astronomically massive conclusions.
So WHY ???? is the SP so laggardly unresponsive when we ( on the LSE Board ) all know that we have a 50m.oz top global deposit .
But I am still patient. Lots more core results on the way ( every one a winner ). POG still on the rise. CU in huge demand and rising in price. An incline practically grabbing sample shovelfuls even before we find out whether NCM are actually going to apply for permission to mine. ( now that would be a shock if the decided not to ).
Lots more Karlajartus on the horizon.
Oh for the sunlit uplands.

Now down well below $30,000 from highs of $60,000.
US, EU , UK regulatory authorities all looking to step in and have some sight of money laundering and transactions. And China exerting pressures on mining. Whatever next ??
Bitcoin not doomed, but will not be the same beast.
And POG trotting along serenely, picking up some of the pieces, holding well above $$$ 1,800 , before exploding upwards into the heavens .
But more importantly ( we trust ?? ) , NCM will disclose at around 10-30 pm tonight, some amazing, mind blowing core results , to fill in all of the gaps left by SD yesterday morning.
Regards to all , ( especially you Spades, Why should we never meet ? - we will be having a Stag Meet at the end of September , and you can book a bedroom next door to milord Speedy . You should be able to afford it by then, and Speedy will have a bottle of bubbly on the go. )

This is not a problem of GH disposal. 50 million shares is not a market shifting amount. GGP has a demand problem if anything, not a supply problem. With all the factors applying to GGP , the SP should be twice its present level.
I would like to see it apply to move to the main market , and then the Institutions would swoop.
Show me which of the major UK funds / pension Funds / mining funds, commodity funds / etc., etc have even a few pennies invested in GGP. Very, very few.
The big rises will come with hitting the main ore body, good results from the Juri2 drills, and subsequent revenue flows on Karlajartu, and the discoveries of Karlajartu 2 & 3.
It will happen. Its a once in a lifetime investment.

The CEO of the worlds largest Gold and Copper discovery on the Globe presents a 1 hour online presentation , in the worlds best Regulated jurisdiction , that has tied in a brilliant JV with Australias largest and most up to date Gold miner , who is now breaking all records in digging a decline down to a massive source of Gold and Copper, as well as running a mass of drilling rigs that are finding record levels of mineral at nearly every metre of every core , both within the MRE and below the MRE and in every step out from the MRE, creating the more than likely probability that the initial MRE will almost certainly turn out to way more than 3 X's that initial amount . ..... AND the MMs decide that such a statement is a pretty poor outcome, and therefore marks down the SP.
One is left wondering what GGP and NCM would have to do to get a stable 5% rise in SP .
I am patient , and unremittingly worship at the Mittzundathe Paddy bum altar without fail, day in and day out.
But Bejeezuz......... I just hope I never meet any of these strange City manipulators as I am on my way to a Turkey shoot , with a loaded 12 bore in my hands.
