RE: Big Mike4 Dec 2024 12:29
I appreciate your response, my opinion is we are on the 3rd CFO in what 2 years? Now technically have a new chairman (which will just increase wage cost base as they've created a new role when they should be cutting positions), and have a new CEO. So I'd argue if they all walked we'd lose Carol (who again imo doesn't do anything anyway), lose Kamani, who has destroyed shareholder value and hasn't done anything positive anyway, just by the looks of it spending a lot of time everywhere except the head office, no doubt all these trips away paid for by us shareholders, lose CFO who's not been there long anyway, so no major loss of knowledge.
Maybe the more palatable resolution for everyone would probably have been to purge Kamani and Kane from the company (founders have no place running a PLC in my opinion, as they will still view it as their business their money they can do what they want with) and put Mike in as a Director of some kind but not necessarily CEO.
I'm sure my vote won't make much difference due to my small shareholding, but I appreciate Mike Ashley saving us from the ridiculous bonus scheme which must have been approved by the remuneration committee(or whatever it's called) which begs the question how independent are they?
