Expecting some strong results17 Feb 2022 21:16
Rose has been transforming the Bank and even before the base rate rises, profits this year are expected to be good, and will only accelerate with rising interest rates. Awash with capital, and an imminent reduction expected in the government shareholding to below 50%, the shares will become a lot more attractive to institutional investors. I am hopeful now the pandemic is almost over and the bad debts have not materialised that there will be a return of a special dividend to shareholders in addition to the expected one, which coupled with a more positive longer term outlook will help drive the share price higher in the medium term.
