Finally.
Hopefully get a little tick up beforehand and a massive jump after. .....am I still dreaming.
couldn't agree more Dan.
anything that can give the SP a kick up the back side.
I know its like a broken record but considering all the positive news flow this last 15 months (Covid/ non-Covid) and throw in pandemic in which we are testing and supplying a test kit, it really is incredible and painful that we are in this position.
If we arent making any decent money out of all the testing that is currently being done and is likely to continue to be done over the summer period at least until Sept, I will eat my @kin hat.....maybe I should start marinading it just in case.
lets hope so, its been a painful 18 months viewing. I just hope LR can afford to be more bullish for once and doesn't drop something (negative) unexpected.
Hi Mavern, yes you are correct its was a reference to a drugs as I work in BioPharma and have been on the receiving end of several FDA kickbacks. I fully take on board that a device is a different, my point was just to say that nothing is a done deal within the shady corridors of the FDA, but I do have confidence in this and I certainly wasn't intending to scaremonger or deramp. GLA to all invested.
Great informative post BrianBone.
FDA approval is not a given , trust me I know from experience.
* big part
Given the news flow about all the Covid cases (past and present) in the NW and especially around the Greater Manchester area I would very disappointed if they werent playing a bit part in the testing on their own doorstep.
The Govt contracts would be great, my only concern is that we may not have the capacity that is required but I guess we wouldn't have applied if we couldn't do it.
I'll be more disappointed when England have been spanked my Germany.
Many Covid stocks are slowing now and rerating, recently one or two have announced that they expect testing numbers to peak soon. To be honest I dont think the market knows what to expect or actually how to value some of them. It's all happened so quickly that a lot of companies havent even posted figures yet but are presumed to be active players.
Unfortunately we never benefited from the initial Covid sp boom but we subsequently made public our intent and investment of getting in there and as such we are tarnished with the Covid brush. Although I invested here for our core business (pre covid) I am sure that this has and is still being impacted by Covid/Brexit . I work for a significantly larger Biotech than Yourgene and we have been hit very hard by supply chain issues since Xmas and it's will still not ideal, plus our freedom to operate (marketing/sales) in overseas territories where Covid restrictions are still stringent has been hampered.
Because of this I am really hoping/praying that we have managed to get a reasonable slice of the covid cake to make up for what I think will be a shortfall elsewhere. We will only know if this has been a successful Covid play when we see numbers. If as predicted testing will peak in the coming months then realistically end of year is the time to reflect and gauge success, by which time I am hoping our core business will be back on track.
Bakky, I was thinking exactly the same thing last week. Surely a few Dir buys would send out a confident signal, I suspect though that they are knee deep in freebies and options without having to spend their own cash.
It would be great if they could give some indication of the numbers for Covid PCR testing to follow this news
This imo is all a bonus but good numbers still important to give the sp a kick up the back side.
I see Portugal are no longer asking for a positive PCR test to enter.
Not huge revenue but again more positive news Good sentiment around these kits.
Gecko agree about the ridiculous photos in the tweets. It's embarrassing.
Likewise, I am well below my average and nursing an eye watering loss if I sold and I've found it much more therapeutic not to check in everyday. I intend to hold, aim is often driven by sentiment not logic and I do believe it will turn and come good in the end and probably fairly quickly when it does. However I think this will only happen when we start to present real positive numbers. Good luck to all holders.
Another glorious day outside, lets hope for a nice blue day on here.
painful to watch the fall esp if you bought in at 30+, at this rate even a dividend of 10p will be significant (~50%) on current sp and still leave many at a loss.
Champions League final this weekend, hopefully thousands of Man City fans will be buying our test from Boots to travel to the game lol
