Riptonk……just senility…. Forgot the PW for the first one! As I said, nothing sinister!
PS. Nothing sinister in the switch of poster name from Thorpe to Svartisen! Merely a reflection of my limited I.T, skills, as any glance at my post history will attest.
How much effort does the company put in to encouraging investment by Moroccan nationals? Like other holders, I hope to benefit from investing in EML but I also recognise that there may be something a bit passé about European investors digging up Moroccan mineral resources and selling them for their financial benefit? Obviously, at State level the Moroccan government will obtain taxes, royalties, whatever, but what are the opportunities for Moroccan nationals to invest and thereby benefit from their own country’s economic resources?
Why does the view of MMs, as seen in the SP dip, seem to disagree with the positive response of posters to the .RNS.
Posters seem to agree that some real issue, rather than Covid-19 effects, recent elections or administrative delays must be behind the delay in announcing the receipt of this vital permit. I can’t quote exact words but my recollection is fairly clear that the company asserted that it’s application for the EP would not only meet the standard and expectations required but far exceed them. So what could have gone wrong?
The details in the post about the Moroccan government mining plan maybe explains why the environmental permit has taken a bit longer than expected………….they needed to finalise this framework first?
A lot of red on the chart today. Just bank holiday spending top up or something amiss?
Interesting and useful. Pity he wasn’t probed a bit more on financial aspects, funding etc.
SP seems sluggish at present despite favourable Company announcements and CEO/ finance director share purchases?
Sounds good, GK but it has to take account of the opportunity cost of dividends foregone, a sum to be subtracted from the eventual dividend yield? My holding is fairly modest at about 70k shares so I can afford not to worry too much about present lack of dividend income. If I had deeper pockets and was in with tens or hundreds of thousands of shares at an average price of say 22p I would have to think a lot more carefully about loss of dividend income as well as loss of liquidity for quite a long stretch given other investment opportunities.
Similar query. I will be taking up my 3k allocation at 15p but wonder if it is worth the bother of putting extra funding into my account to apply for more? Is there a strong feeling that the OO will be fully subscribed and applications for more will be rejected, not just severely scaled down?
Incidentally, I have seen queries recently from investors unhappy with their platform for various reasons. I am one of the users of iweb [owned by the Halifax] which I have been very pleased with. Why? Extremely low fees..... The platform is proactive, so information was placed into the corporate section of my account about the offer promptly without my asking and an e-mail was sent to alert me it was there. Also telephone and web chat queries are answered very promptly with clear, precise information. I-web may not be the platform for sophisticated investors dealing with different markets and wanting greater detail analysis but its great for the average Joe investor
Ah, so that nice Mr Buffet is popping over just in time to invest the St2 funding? That’s all hunky dory then and we can all relax and get on with the gardening.
Maybe, even if the St2 funding is secured on good terms, expectations of 40p+ may be excessive? After all, market makers are usually able to factor in anticipated rises and falls of the sp in advance of company announcements?
it seems an odd system of censorship operating here. I had a perfectly innocuous post in reply to LL deleted, presumably because she reported it, and it was in response to a completely off-topic post from her, a recitation of the
The Red Flag flying here.... and not the version about 'the working class and getting the foreman's job at last!'. Maybe she didn't appreciate the allusion to champagne socialists, but i see far more personal and harsh comments on this BB. So if a post is reported, down it goes at the behest of the reporter and with no opportunity for the poster to offer a defence?

Good on Sirius, but full marks also to Redcar and Cleveland cCouncil. They seem to be proactive, energetic and full of enthusiasm. No wonder they are attracting inward investment. Other Councils please take note!
No shortage of scribblers on this BB. So who is going to pull it all together and write up the complete history of the Sxx Mine saga.........and maybe the film script for the blockbuster film to follow?
Does Emmerson yet have all the government licences it needs to mine, extract and transport, as distinct from those needed for exploratory drilling?
So, Alan G, dusting down your crystal ball and peering into the murk, what is your own forecast of when, for an equivalent investment, say max premium Bond amount allowed, the return from SM will exceed your return from premium bonds?
Potash mining in Morocco.....also looking for funding .....in competition with SM? .....3.1p per share.......so if new funds to invest, which will offer the largest / quickest return?
