The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
Well whizz I think the PPA is closer than ever.
Tlou's bullish tweets,
Fund managers gathering on the 28th, MMGE updated Facebook page and emails from the company have convinced me that it is "tantalisingly close"
I'm hoping that the Finance agreements have been running concurrently with the PPA and the details of the PPA will already be known and more importantly satisfy the Financiers.
If this is the case then the PPA and Finance could well be announced close together.
I had my last little top up yesterday, just in time for a PPA announcement hopefully.
Hi MM, I'm forever trying to find info on our competition and am struggling to find anything new on KE/Sekaname as you indicate.
The only other company I can find info on is Strata X who have joined forces with Real Energy Corp and are now called Pure Hydrogen Corporation.
The name reflects their ambition to build a large hydrogen business.
Is this why Tlou have covered off hydrogen production I wonder..?
Pure Hydrogen have teamed up with Botgas in Botswana and have been carrying out drilling recently but again, it appearsĀ they are targetting Hydrogen. I'm yet to find any reference to them and Gas to power projects.
More research is required however.
This is the latest info on them

Ha-ha moagi, you really are a Far Superior Being to the rest of us;
"I wonder who will be man enough to apologise"
You conveniently forgot to add the heavily caveated section of the RNS which has been stated a few times now.
I'm sure you're sat there laughing whilst typing and thinking to yourself this will wind people up, you must be.
If you're not then get out and get some air in your lungs FSB
Great post NoEasy.
The reduction in salaries speaks volumes for me.
I personally believe they are doing everything they can to get this project up and running, why on earth wouldn't they.
Yes they've made some mistakes, notibly the "tantalisingly close" statement from Colm, however he was given a bum steer IMO.
Yes it's very disappointing we aren't much further on but mud slinging at the BOD whilst sat in our armchairs is dead easy.
It's been painfully slow but if and when the PPA and finance are in place people will be a little more lenient instead of being very frustrated.
Your point is valid Appi however projects change.
Many moths ago I asked the company why the TL scope hasn't started and am satisfied with the "if somewhat cryptic" response I received.
Like I keep saying it's all about the PPA and Build and Transfer contract IMO.
Just to add I'm satisfied the company could have started the TL scope, however on reflection I think they've done right in holding off.
That's a fair post Appi, I honestly think TG thought at the time that the PPA was "tantalisingly close" again.
That doesn't excuse him he should have stated that no field work would be carried out without the PPA and 1st phase of funding being in place.
One thing is crystal clear now though and as stated in their July RNS is that the timing of the PPA is out of their control.
It's sh*t orbust time..!
Agree with that MM.
Let's not forget the detail design by Mott and tenders are all complete.
Let's say we started physical construction of the TL scope, by now the company would have been back to shareholders for more money/equity that would have gone down like a lead balloon. And If this is a build and transfer model as I believe it is then this complicates things further.
Don't forget the preferred finance option is with companies who want a PPA in place before committing.
I also believe the PPA and financing could well come hand in hand if not very close behind. The financing is not the issue IMO the PPA is and as MM has stated that's currently doing the rounds in the slow machine that is the Botswaba system.
