Org/Aston, I wont lie and say it would be sad to see you go but I for one will be glad to hopefully see this board get to a consistent level of good discussion and research sharing. I personally have no issues with you posting as I simply just read and move on if i don't agree with you BUT you are one of the most controversial posters on here which leads to this board just becoming congested with back and forth bickering.
You seem like a friendly nice chap, wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Regardless this is still positive news, it will be interesting to see how this plays out seeing as most care home residents should have had at least 1 dose if vaccine by now, even if a CH resident does contract covid what will they be comparing their data with? Who will be the control group? vaccinated+placebo vs vaccinated+SNG001 im guessing?
"The trial will begin in May 2021 and last around 2 years"
Struggling to see why SNG is needed in this, we already have peer-reviewed data on our hospital arm and soon we will have data on our home arm. The cohort in our running trials is over 65s and over 50s with comorbidity totaling to over 200 patients. so it doesn't differ greatly from patients in a care home setting. Data from these trials surely enough to make a decision on safety and efficacy. Is a 2 year trial really needed?
Can someone shed some light as to the significance of this trail if we are in fact included.?
@hewhodares1 just some info in relation to a link between CBD and interferon.
https://www.news-medical.net/amp/news/20210314/Cannabis-compound-inhibits-SARS-CoV-2-replication-in-human-lung-cells.aspx
"The CBD inhibited viral gene expression and reversed many of the effects the virus has on host gene transcription. The compound also induced the expression of interferons – cell signaling proteins that are produced by host cells as an early response to viral invasion."

J_CIT,he EU have been shooting themselves in the feet on multiple occasions, their lackluster vaccine rollout is their own doing. Late contracts, late approvals, senior officials making unhelpful remarks about AZ being "Quasi-ineffective", member states not approving for certain age groups, AZ vaccine targeted as health risk when Pfizer has had similar amount of blood clot cases.
All the above will result in a slow roll-out with many EU citizens probably not comfortable taking the Ox/Az and now threaten to cut legal contractual exports for a vaccine to countries who have a successful rollout.
Was the question by the Newcastle MP answered in regards to pre-orders of SNG001? I remeber reasing answer was due for 1st of March lol. Cant recall the MPs name, if anyone does know can they check please?
No idea how I missed this but Prof Tom Wilko & Richard Marsden appeared on BBC Panorama episode "Coronavirus: When will we be safe?" back in May 20
Also features the infamous postergirl for SNG001, the old biddy holding the SNG001 vape device lol

Agree 100%, my sister as a health care professional was vaccinated in January with 1 dose of the AZ vaccine she was due her 2nd dose soon, her little one contracted Covid from Nursery recently and now her whole family has it and are self-isolating. Out of the 5 of them she is experiencing the worst symptoms.

Interesting video, bold claims that he is permanently immune AND immune to emerging variants too.
I just came across the EU Trials register and it has a tremendous amount of info in regards to our trials, worth having a look through if you haven't already!

A misconception of "Vitamin" D is that its simply a vitamin, its actually a hormone and data has shown that there is correlation between "Vitamin" D deficiency and hospitalsations so it has good grounds to be investigated further. Not saying this is silver bullet.
One of the many active compounds found in cannabis are the cannabinoids, these cannabinoids interacts with the endocannabinoid system (ECS) which is a human biological system which at this stage is not very well researched and understood but what is known is that the ECS plays a role in sleep, mood, appetite, memory and the immune system. Medical cannabis is being used medicinally across the globe for a wide range of diseases and ailments. So again good grounds for further research.

Had the AZ jab this morning at my GP surgery, very well executed contrary to the usual s*itshow they run.
Bright1232 - As Mr Prosecco states it would be great to hear your thoughts on the potential of SNG from a GPs perspective.
Felldown, yeah I've heard of that too and it makes sense but the chap did say to me that I'm being offered the jab as I'm in priority group 6 which is "Adults aged 16 to 65 years in an at-risk group" but I don't have any medical or mental conditions to be considered at risk.
Very strange, I did say to him that there seems to some error here and that I'm not entirely comfortable taking a vaccine from someone who is actually high-risk. However he said I wouldn't be doing anything wrong if I accepted so I did.
To my surprise I am apparently eligible to be vaccinated as part of priority group 6, booked in tomorrow via GP.
Strange as I'm in my 20s with no serious health/mental conditions, asked the admin how this is possible he didn't know he was just calling people on a list.
Anyone else had something similar?
