Very good @Notmyjob. I think that a financially squeezed population will turn to the likes of BME more and more. It's a great shop with strong high street prescence. I have slight worries over supply chain as a lot of thier products are made in China but these will ease as shipping concerns get unstuck. It might go a bit lower but a return to levels held in recent weeks will see you in a decent profit. Good Luck.

Before I invest, I'm keen to understand the business model, i.e. (how do Podpoint intend to make a profit) and the risks. If clients repeatedly opt for the loss-leader model, who carries the liability? It's no good having lots of charge points if nobody is making any money from them. Can anyone clarify please before I open a PODP position? Thanks.

I agree with your statements. I think that the sentiment point is probably the biggest reason that I have held off. Having said that, my caution has led me to miss several very good trading opportunities. I can see this reverting to pre-Covid levels but the ideal entry point remains elusive. Good Luck.

One thing I've always noted about PMs is that they always push past their ATHs eventually. The only exception was when silver was at 50$/oz but that was due to big market manipulation. So I have every confidence that the Gold ATH will be broken and FRES will benefit from that. When I looked at miners in May FRES seemed vastly undervalued and so I bought in. Then the share price tanked and I thought maybe this was a duck. But I held my confidence in it and topped up. It's still undervalued IMHO and a fair way to go before the sp tops out. 1000p is next target but this could go to 1200p or 1300p which will be a test of nerves. Good Luck All. DYOR.

It would be easier to get to net zero if we used less energy. Unfortunately there is not much economic incentive for the government to push this. Why? Because they get the VAT on energy bills and the more profit that the energy companies make, the more HMRC receives in corporation tax. The big energy companies have their fat fingers in government to ensure the agenda for us to use less is not pushed. Meanwhile there is a push for us to buy more and more electrical gadgets which we don't actually need. We fall for it and we (the masses) observe the elite having no concept of reducing their carbon footprint. This emboldens the population to hold on to their environmentally damaging habits. After all, most of the herd want to live the lives of the elite and the changes required involve a signifcant amount of climb down in terms of lifestyle comfort level. It's a bleak picture unless we wake up and break out of the agenda that is pushed at us to consume more and throw away rather than repair, reuse, upcycle. By the way, in some parts of the world people believe that the world is flat and that the sun goes round the earth. All endorsed by credible scientists on social media platforms, of course. So it must be right, right?

Bought in Jan 2020. I need 16p to break even and get out. I might stay beyond 16p if momentum is gaining and the spread tightens significantly.

This is an 'interesting' discussion despite being unrelated to FRES and PM predictions...CO2 will extinguish a lit flame. It is true that most plantlife processes CO2 into O2 via transpiration process. However, if there is too much CO2 and not enough greenery the excess cannot be processed and creates a net surplus. So the issue at the heart of global warming is not the breathabilty of CO2 but the effect on global warming. CO2 is a so called 'greenhouse' which actually prevents our world from maintaining temperature balance by process of radiative heat loss back into space. The CO2 affects the efficiency of this process and this in combination with the amount of heat our species are generating through our lifestyle choices are increasing the average planet temperature. Planet ecoprocesses and ecosystems can tolerate so much of this but the concern is that we will start to overcome the limits that they can take. It is easy for us to think we are immune to the damage being inflicted on our planet but remember how delicately we spin in the vastness of the void. Our world whilst common in universal terms is quite unique in the context of our technological capability. There is no second home for us. Peace.

I have opened a moderate position in ASC as it looks very undervalued relative to historical levels. There seem to be some short term operational issues within supply chain but these will be overcome. Demand for their products remain bouyant and I am confident that sales in the run up to Christmas will push the share price North of 3000p. GLA

Jumped in. The only downside to GRG is that I wish I'd jumped in before. There is still vast UK franchise potential for this before even considering the international potential. People love pasties and pastry when they are out shopping. This even has takeover potential as it's product and retail presence dovetail nicely with some group portfolios.

I feel for you. We were considering solar panels when the feed in tariff was at 40p. I asked the question about the unit cost of inverter if it should go wrong and was it covered. I was told that they never went wrong. Alarm bells rang and we did not go forward with panels.
