Yes, it's fine to be anxious about your investment, but to post continuous negative drivel and to genuinely think the above is a realistic possibility is laughable.

Those two posts referenced alone are the reason no one takes him seriously.

I despair at the number of clowns on this board. I know we’ve been waiting for news for a long time and many LTHs were stung by the inconclusive p3 trial, but let’s look at this objectively:

- This is a new advert. Compare it to the the recent language in the SNG tweets. It’s new. No doubt.
- “BUT….BUT…BUT… we advertised loads of positions last year and they got pulled.” Last time, we were anticipating p3 trial success. We don’t have any existing trials. Does anyone really think that we’d advertise a new role based on no news? COME ON!
- Who pays $200k?+ for an admin person? Don’t listen to the clowns.
- This is a job in the US… what does that tell us? US partner? EUA? Maybe, but more likely that we’re on on a platform trial e.g. STRIVE.

Be in no doubt. News is coming.

EGL recognises higher costs – positive
A supplementary technical note for the EGL published by HM Treasury contains a number of changes. We view two as very significant for Drax: indexation of the £75/MWh benchmark price from April 2024, and the ability to reduce generation receipts by excess costs over historic levels. For Drax, our interpretation suggests the latter is £65/MWh. Our estimate of the EGL take more than halves, our EPS estimates rise, and our target price increases to 1,100p.

You’re conveniently forgetting that the transition to renewables was supported by the Government to get away from our reliance on coal and nuclear. We’d have been even more ****ed with c.70-80% gas capacity without that renewables support.

Add up how much subsidy was given to the equivalent wind and solar capacity (make sure you include additional balancing costs required because they don’t run all the time) and come back to me if you can.

Burning coal adds to carbon in the atmosphere for carbon that has been locked up for millions of years.

What muppets like you and biofuelwatch conveniently forget is that the wood that is converted to biomass would have been burnt anyway (residue from mills, thinnings etc). It would have either been burnt on site or left to decay, releasing that carbon anyway. It’s absolute madness to not try to utilise that to generate power at the same time.

That’s not going backwards, it’s common sense…something you are clearly lacking in.

Furthermore, if you can then capture the carbon from the stack, we can then reach net zero by 2050 as all climate scientists agree we need to do.

I think I’d rather listen to the opinion of the world’s leading climate scientists at the IPCC, who state that the world needs Bioenergy with carbon capture, than a clown on a chat forum.

Anyone who believes the BBC doesn’t understand the carbon cycle too. Comparing stack emissions is incorrect.

Biomass is renewable. You need to go back to school to learn about the carbon cycle.

Everyone who's serious about recognises that we need Bioenergy with carbon capture too to get to our Net Zero targets. See the 2020 IPCC report.

Without biomass and carbon capture we're all ****ed...unless Putin decides to destroy the planet before we get there anyway.

I remember when shows like Panorama would stretch to an hour, but they clearly didnt have much to say. It seemed very one-sided: they only spoke to 2 people throughout the whole show, both of whom were clearly anti-biomass at the outset.

The Canadian government decides which trees need to be cut down and provides the licenses to protect the health of the forest overall. A simple but unbiased approach would be to have asked a spokesman why they provided the license for that area? Presumably the answer if theyd bothered to ask might have been to help prevent fires or the trees were dieseased or dead.

Im surprised Drax didn't sue the BBC for that hatchet job.

Doc83 - I wouldn’t describe 86% as ‘average’ - far from it!

It’s a shame that the trial wasn’t continued with more patients as we likely would have gained statistical significance with a few more patients.

- high completion rate at home
- excellent safety profile
- large reduction in risk
- broad spectrum

If we can identify the high risk patients and treat early, then the treatment will be highly effective.

It’s just frustrating that the activ-2 p2 was ceased early & they didn’t continue into p3 because the big pharma bastards were stealing all the trial patients for all their questionable drugs.
