Harry. “We have effectively put everything in the lap of the syndicate.”” now all the boards and committees need to make their decisions.”Its all good stuff really.”
The above says it all really. He cannot do anymore to get this over the line.
Perhaps the investor who holds the $20 million has done this for a reason and until they are fully satisfied, nothing happens?!
This funding was never easy to begin with, as too many moving parts.
What's a few months, when many poor b*ggers here have waited years!!
The ROI for many may not be what they hoped for, but an opportunity to get out without losing face or too much of their investment.
If the situation does not improve in Amhara, then the Eth Gvt may need to increase the security there. This can impact on the security at the mining area with greater costs. Who do you think will fund that?
You raise some good points.
An interesting article on this

This is like deja vu all over again.
Looks as if they have started already selling. This really now throws the cat amongst the pigeons, as when the SoE is finally ratified, how long will this be for?
It was for six months last time in Oromia, wasn't it?
All we need are 'nervous Nellie's' to sell down ;>(
Agree that is a 1000kms away or more. However, a State of Emergency is more than a 'little problem.'
I hope we don't get to that point.
I'll settle for the sp to be in the 50s...someone mentioned the 40s?
That is utter madness.
Killing the sp and any interest shown by new investors.
Spread betters?
Before you go...
It is "ever" not "every"
Remember, people in glass houses....you will know the rest.
If you want to be sure not to make a mistake, the simplest rules to follow are: Use farther only when you are referring to distance, literal or figurative. Use further only to mean “more”
Retrospectively, with all the share dilutions and shares in issue... can this recover?
The longer this goes on, the less likely is my opinion, as there should be some form of recovery showing by now.
No real timescales or anything binding.
A word of mouth agreement?!
No wonder it has taken years!!!
What a showstopper of a question that was!
It does appear to be shorters, then.
The are many on here who feel they have been plucked...hence the selling.
The Market has already woken up and shows it is a bag of sh*te.
We should have all been reaping the rewards by now. We have been diluted to hell. Months of more painful waiting and no wonder people selling. So sad.
We are all on a painful journey until sorted.
Nothing new to us.
"We are confident of these approvals from our long-standing and hard-working syndicate but, of course, we must emphasise that the pace of our progress overall is now essentially subject to the pace of administrative progress with the relevant Government agencies. Be that as it may, all parties are pushing and I am highly confident of the outcome."
As we all rightly assumed, it is all down to the EG now.
Frustrating for all concerned.
EG regulatory issues are a "conditions precedent."
So the following statement applies:
"The Company expects binding terms to be entered into within the next month or so subject to ongoing successful satisfaction of outstanding conditions precedent."
