Id take £10 too, im fortunate to have a low average which i know theres a lot that havent. but seems like theres been a lot of takeover “news” from a lot of new accounts, makes you wonder if its shorters trying to stir some kind of buying to bump the sp only to knock it back again for a quick few quid. or maybe thats just my paranoia from all the consipracy posters lol
Im not convinced tbh, MA has been buying into lots of companies recently, doesnt mean hes going to make a bid, you could say the same for boohoo or AO - and it seems he just saw synergies with AO rather than a buyout. what makes you sure its going to happen here (from MA or otherwise)? whats happened here that youve seen before exactly?
Camelot only increased by 0.28%, lets temper expectations here, in reality its probably more about balancing thier own portfolio rather than anything to do with a takeover. it means next to nothing imo, my only takeaway is that at least they didnt sell, so still believe in the company
Lol look at the search terms, all good until you get to temu 😂
“is temu dodgy” “is temu a legit site” “can i trust temu” and ofc “temu advert girl” which probably has nothing to do with wanting to buy from temu imo 🫢. good to see asos doing well against them though. hopefully translates into £££, and a massive rerate or bid
Anyone pay for the times that can enlighten us a bit more as to the context?
Hmm i dont think it nessesarily means thier board is “weaker” - they simply over ordered stock during covid when business was booming online. easy with hindsight to say it was an obvious mistake. and like i said, they at least recouped some money from the discounted sales. asos and boo both have good and bad points, i dont think its fair to say 1 is better. we choose which we think has the best recovery and invest
To be fair asos sell thier own brand too. and the written off stock has since been sold so its actually going to look slightly better in thier books since itll be pure profit from those items
Saw a guy on tiktok yesterday with his purchase of air pods from temu, they were the same size as his arm 🤣
Its interesting you mentioned Nike as carving a niche and doing well….first 3 results on asos for “nike” were trainers all for £100+ and were labelled as “selling fast” with more results the same further down. So you believe Nike are doing well but asos arent…despite the fact that asos sell Nike AND other brands for the cash strapped?
As others have said, its only 1% drop, just funds, traders etc moving it, plus sentiment can drop it or make it rise. honestly its anyones guess on the day to day movements. as long as the trend is generally up and you havent seen any news you dont like, dont worry about it. This could quite easily finish blue by the end of the day, which has been the trend past few weeks usually around the time the US markets open
Quite a bit to do tbh, iirc it needs to be placed 325 or higher to be promoted back
Threshold was crossed on the 2nd so no, not what i mean
3% of the company has been bought and its only added between 1.5 - 3.5 pence onto the sp. its going to be one heck of a slog getting back to a quid. imo
Share price will drop, 100%
Retail sector is down >1% today, asos not being positive despite MA…wouldnt read too much into it
Youve been saying £2.50 for over 2 months now and its up c25% in that time. i’d suggest that £2.50
is not coming any time soon, as the new ceo has taken steps to turn this ship around and if what we have heard is true so far, we are in a good position for this year and set to return to growth in the not so distant future. ASC is literally a steal at these prices
After reading a bit further on and seeing the email from royal mail, im going to assume the evri one was sarcasm lol
Asos use royal mail for deliveries dont they? maybe evri for next day delivery not sure.
doesnt seem a legit email imo. does your friend work for evri?
Doesnt really mean 450 will be tested this week though does it? nearly every stock on my watchlist is up today, doesnt mean it will continue for the week. dont get me wrong, id be happy to see 450 smashed, but just looks like an up day in general nothing sentimental to asos, imo
What makes you think that exactly?
