Eh? You sell your shares at 60p that you already own, and you replace them with the 45p pocketing the difference!! It's basically short selling your own shares!
It's happened this way for years, and although it is clearly corrupt it is the price you pay for trading on AIM.

Most of the shares taken up in the offer will be have already sold from existing holdings at a much higher price. Thats why we slowly dropped from 65 over the past 2 weeks. Easy money for those in the know!!
There will obviously still be a slight overhang, as some get flipped for a couple of quid, but I am sure we will hold above 46 now!

You can open a new ISA every year with the same yearly £ limitations. A stock ISA is the same as a cash ISA in terms of legalities

Yep, I moved all my physical shares to a trading ISA a few years ago!
I can now trade and take regular profits without tax!
The only trading I do now outside this is CFDs with IGIndex

Anyway, Overhang clearing! Soon be moving back up again! I’m now fully loaded here

I would imagine most of the shares taken up in the placement were being sold down from original holdings from 65 over the past 5-10 days!!!
Disgraceful really, but its the way AIM works!

Yep, totally agree, bought another 4k shares a few mins ago, making a total addition of just over 50k shares today at a very nice price!
So much for those on here last night saying it won't drop!! Investors are always spooked and MMs always over-react on a placing announcement!

People that already hold are selling. They replace them with 45p shares for an extra 1% after trading fees! ;)
As I said last night you can buy this morning at the placing price, so I’ve grab another shed load at 46p!!

Painful as it is to say, I think anyone worried about not getting in on the 45p offer will get the chance tomorrow on the open market!
These platings never fail to drop the sp to the offer price. I’ll buy mine tomorrow guys

It was quite nice to see the small retail investor partially win against the big hedge funds!
Although there will be many left high on the spike and other stocks also lose as the funds close positions elsewhere to cover themselves!

But this activity does demonstrate what is possible when you unite a lot of small investors on a single stock!
Now how do we get them to come here :)
