Just a heads up... that test needs to be shipped to a lab.. and even if it was rapid like ours... the worlds big enough for both tests.

I'm feeling really positive that finally we may have something here to get:

You can visit loved ones in hospital, even wives who are having babies (or family)
You can visit loved ones in care homes
Schools, Colleges re-opened
Our economy kick started

Even if they can be bought in bulk and perhaps $10 each or less.... I can see major shopping centres opening too

I feel the fightback starts here.

2 things that are outstanding from this mornings RNS:

The Affimer reagents have also now been studied further by Avacta and, importantly, this has shown that there are Affimer reagents that can work in pairs, both binding to the spike protein at the same time. This allows tests to be developed that detect both the intact virus particle and the detached spike proteins which become separated from the virus particle during the development of the COVID-19 disease, which may also be important in monitoring disease progression.

There has been considerable commercial interest in these reagents since we announced that we had successfully generated them.
