Putting COVID and geopolitics aside, there isn't really much in the way of bad news on this side of the pond. All you can really do is apply chart fundamentals and try to guess where the floor of this drop is.
The NASDAQ100 and NASDAQ Composite are down 15% on the month with the DJIA down 7%. Based only on chart analysis, this dip may be nearing its end and there has been a bit of a reversal. But as mentioned above, it's earnings season and that is clearly having an effect. It's going to be a while before it's over. MSFT, TSLA, INTC and many others earnings still to come so the DJIA/NASDAQ, and by extension the other major indicies, could still take a beating.
If nothing else, this is probably a good time to drive down your average price paid. Be sure to do your research before buying though
