I think all the speculation about market mechanics and MM’s holding the price down etc is grasping at straws.
I think we all know that the main issue with our share price is a) debt b) the current finance structure and c) the lack of production which at the last report was loss making and a major concern if this doesn’t turn a corner because if we don’t secure a RBL within the next few weeks we risk major dilution and further decreases in share value. So it is imperative that we increase production and fast (hopefully Art will give some positive news about this on Monday) and prove that we can be financially stable to a resource based lender.
On a hugely positive note we’ve had at least 993 million barrels of oil confirmed in the ground. So we have a huge resource to tap into if the production figures are increased, we can secure the RBL and we can get the infrastructure in place to begin extracting it.
Once we’re into profitability the company will grow and grow and the share price will grow with it. The discovery alone could keep us growing for years and years to come and allow us to acquire and explore further resources. Plus as Art previously stated we could eventually end up with dividend payments too (although a long way off).
But currently it’s like having a fantastic new invention that someone has independently confirmed is brilliant, a patent to protect it as your own, but no funds to put it into production. So the company has no value as there’s nothing to sell and make a profit. Hence our share price is not moving anywhere soon.
I have been invested with COPL since before the atomic acquisition and I have confidence that we are turning a corner. I really do feel like a line has been drawn in the sand.
Yes I’m massively disappointed that the share price has not increased this week. I was expecting around a 30% rise on the RS confirmation (not the multi bag being ramped on here) but this hasn’t happened.
What I will say is that I feel Art’s Monday update will be positive and I think we could see a small rise into the middle of next week.
Once we have production up to 5000 bopd then we have the catalyst to move us onto much bigger things. When we are at these production rates we’ll be back to the 38p range and can start to move forward.
To all LTHs, keep the faith, be patient and I wish you all the best of luck over the coming 18 months. I hope you’ll all have smiles on your faces at Christmas 2023 and a big fat bird sat on the table for the family to enjoy ;-)
Best wishes and much love to you all.
Including Copholder and co who’s negative views do help to form debate (although not always healthy debate) and help us to consider out investments without the rose tinted glasses we like to wear! (I still don’t like you much though CH ;-) )
Not sure why, but I’ve had a feeling since last week’s RNS that the RS report would be published on Thursday.
My head tells me Friday, but I’ve just had this feeling about Thursday!! Let’s hope we get the news tomorrow and we’re not left hanging any longer!
I am guessing from the recent dialogue that RS numbers are close to ours but I’m not convinced they’ll be as high or higher than ours. I am going conservative at 1.5 Billion with 40% recoverable and I would be very very happy with that.
What would make me happier still is an increase in production figures and a move into profitability, as this is the only thing that is going to make the share price multiply.

What date are we guessing the RS peer review will be released? I’m hoping Monday morning RNS, but have a feeling we might be kept waiting until later in the week!
AM has suggested that RS have big figures and although some seem to think that these will be above COPL’s estimates, I think it’ll be slightly more conservative. I just hope that the market shifts our market cap to account for this massive asset and the potential revenue it brings with it for many years ahead! I guess the most important figure will be the % recoverable….
It would be nice to be back to the 38p we were at pre atomic at the very least before the potential of the two acquisitions is priced in! Such a shame we aren’t sat above that value prior to the RS validation.
I know! I didn’t imagine we would drop to this level again, but Art really has to get production ramped up again to see this turn the corner! Let’s hope we have another positive RNS shortly!

Great news that we’ll soon have oil at twice the he value of when the fantastic atomic deal was done! An asset growing in value as we await the relisting in the coming weeks.
