An really interesting book this morning...this is just my opinion but...
My guess is that Nick has actually been smarter than we think.The bid is soaking up more than a vileda super mop. Despite this the ask is rising and seems pretty thin with little repeater trades.
The above is almost as if Nick has planned this reaction from traders and pre arranged an ii to soak it up.
If that's the case then the share price will seriously lack liquidity on any up movement.
This afternoon I will break my own rule and buy.
For the record my buys previous to this were a 19-20p average then a 16-17p top up during the CV call and then a buy at 21.4 on monday.

Still a million parked on the bid book between 19-20p. Waiting to see if somebody is stupid enough to give them shares at this price.

Opinions are fine but sometimes they need to be balanced or evidenced. I don’t think anybody has a problem with an honestly held opinion as long as it’s there to aid discussion.
The problem comes when opinions are there just to annoy people up or it’s just the same person wanting to vent their frustrations post after post. a lot of people have been banned here in the last 2 weeks.
So given all this not every bodies view is welcomed not all opinions Are equal and if you post the share price will be 40p or 14p next week then prepare to be challenged.

Just so folks know tax has 70k volume and is down 0.02...I've thought about buying over there as tsx is always worth a nice 20% on things like this but the buy quite for any volume was 38.5..so it's not up or down its just had no volume.

So basically Nick has had his hands bitten off by folks to raise money at 21.5p, He's raised so much money they are fully funded for 18months, certainly the start of build for Cascabel if we still have it. We have money for regional exploration, but quite a bit more than they planned for, so we can do even more exploration to find the next 400m value project.
We have 1500sq km of licenses (I did a spreadsheet of this at the weekend, this is the majority of all licenses in Ecuador.)
Nick has met his promise of news today. (despite a fair few folks on here thinking he wouldn't)
The BOD have put money in, so its unlikely they will want to dilute much for CGP for example.
With The Franco money will have almost $200m to spend.

I've stayed away for a few days as it was obvious this is how some folks would respond.
We've got the nm is useless and I don't trust him brigade who never seem to sell despite this.
We've got the I brought at £2 and it's always on the way down brigade. (That was sarcasm)
We've got the I am selling my entire holding for the 10th time troop.
We've got the this is taking too long brigade who didn't both to try and understand mining or the companies aims.
We've got the I only see bad news brigade , who don't comment on anything good such as franco, fully funded for regional exploration, mre3 the pfs being 3 months away the DFS being within the next 12 mths, that citi have been appointed 're takeovers , that the share price has been up over the last 2 mths
Finally we have the folks who throw their toys out of the pram because an rns might come this evening or even tomorrow instead of this morning..I would love to live in there world where everything happens perfectly.

Don't worry I won't argue with any one I won't respond to this post.it isn't worth it, I've probably insulted 80% of this board . But heaven forbid I am actually an investor. A real one...enjoy your complaining, sorry meant to say your day..

Your first ever post was to say you brought solg an avg of 35p when the sp was 40p and the pea was close to being released.
You say you want to sell at 88p and leave some profit into project completion ( don't we all).
The truth is they haven't really proven the re source up much since your investment as we don't have the PFS so it would have been impossible to do what you say.
I think you underestimated how long these things take. I think you missed the mining cycle that will drag the sp down prior the PfS. Almost every post since your first post has been negative. It's not good for your wellbeing. I think you also misread the company that it intended to sell off cascabel.

No I said they needed it for regional exploration.
It's not rushed. It's how it should be done. If you announce with a signpost that you are raising money maybe give people a day o r two you u get eaten alive. See bcn and their failed accelerAted book build.
Just because we weren't given notice doesnt mean it was rushed.

Apart from the incorrect comment concerning last year, if BHP took part then it would probably have been for that kind of increase. Equally with newcrest?

They needed the funding for regional exploration ...covid restrictions are being eased in Ecuador and the Ecuador govt said get on with it. It really is that simple.

1963. There are plenty of companies that do that if you want that kind of model. Solg isn't that kind of model and never has been.

If we change tack , if newcrest are prepared to do this when a minority shareholder then what would happen if they were a majority holder ?

Add, solg wasn't a start up, there wasn't a mates investment. Solg had drilled several thousand metres of high grade copper and newcrest wanted some of that, if it wasn't for newcrest it might have been somebody else who knows.. So your argument was that they wanted to be involved in raising money at their value..ie we wouldn't give them more shares.

I really don't understand what solg have done to newcrest except not given then loads of shares and not delayed the project.
Can anyone give a sensible answer to this?
