Just my opinion, but I still think it's just a single II who is looking to pull out of a position prior year end and trump and China looking further away is probably a driver against having copper\lithium\zinc in any riskier fund.

U T is normally just a balance of the book with the 16.35 auction....however when the entire days trading is matched by the UT then it's obviously more than that.
Given the low price and the direct participation of 3 market makers, it's seems to have been pre organised...
somebody still had 2.5m of an order to offload by a certain date at 21p ..the market makers then bid on the other side of the book how many of the shares they want....(probably offloading then at 22p over the last 2-3 sessions making a nice margin).

To be fair I've suspected that somebody (probably black rock due to externals) have been selling...
The good news is that this seems to be over with just the few shares the market makers have left to sell off before it quickly runs up.

Remember this was assessed on a offer that was turned down and was considered a low ball offer. But if we take 500m to be £400m then a fair value for.....
£400m in bank.
35% of one of the largest future mines in the world operated by bhp with a high chance of development ( high discount npv)
Moving to a more valuable BFS with a poss on rising to. 50%
With multiple new projects

Then a minimum sp 50p rising to 70-80p with BFS would be possible.
This is without a bidding war and based on a conservative projection of a 3 year old Real BHP bid

Just a reminder that bhp offered 275m in Oct 2016, nearly 3 years ago, for 70% of cascabel.
Given the enlargement, time spent etc it forms the basis of my blogs conservative estimate of 300-500m for 50%.....
If this is not done either just before or just after pfs. Then the price will increase to 1bn imo as the BFS is approached.

I am certainly not Amon. Many people know my name and a simple search produces pictures of me etc.
But I would argue that if I put a name and photo on it could easily be fake. Like a lot on twitter etc.
I would also and often do say that what I produce is always my own opinion. Sometimes I might talk to ceos , brokers and industry experts I have a degree in geo and have worked with/in investment banking for many years. Exposure risk country risk etc. But don’t any more.

At the end of the day I’ve always wanted folks to just think for themselves. Research themselves. If you want to talk to Rio then talk to them. Or ceos etc.
I like Solg because I can’t be accused of ramping it etc it’s just too big. I would say beware of those that solely pick on the 10-20m mcap companies that can be manipulated.

An announcement to be made this week that codelco will be investing billions into equador and making equador it's second home...

The firing pistol that equador is now seen as the copper investment capital for the 2020's. Possibly the reason for the sp as the institutions will be pilling into solg looking for equador exposure.

The conversation will be along the !ines....

A few weeks ago I did some looking into who had offloaded approx price 20-25m shares recently and these where on that list as they have a high filter 're geopolitical risk.

Likely imo to mean that the market makers are not expecting much selling...whoever is selling has stopped.
But that there are a few of the shares they have on the hands, offloaded at 3p this week, which they want get rid of.

There are many reasons for the share price.
Delay in Portugal fs.
Delay in moz pfs due to long license granting
Poor P R
Lack of clear timescales.
Illiquid share currently \ combined with share holders leaving aim.
Lithium and copper markets performing badly.

Some things internal and some external

However most of what I've mentioned is nearing the end of the pain. It's like doing a triathlon. Having a really good swim, then a really bad cycle, being one mile from the cycle finish, knowing that your running will go back to being really good again. You can dwell on the bad cycle or concentrate on the good run ahead and how far you've actually come.

When the fs lands next month folks won't care whether it's been delay ed. When the Oman licenses are granted the pain becomes pleasure. When the moz figures are release in the next few weeks the new stories about one of the world's largest deposits being developed by sav and Rio tinto won't mention license delays once they have been granted.

Weigh up the good and the bad and then try and think how this will affect the sp in the future.
