A consolidation without a placing means you own exactly the same portion of the company as you did before.

A consolidation with a placing means you have been diluted by whatever % the company declares.

Therefore consolidation is not an issue to be overly bothered about by itself.

And a placing, if it happens at all, is in GGP terms usually blended with positive news - in this case the joy of joining ASX will arguably be worth a good deal in the short term.
