Gawd, I do check in here but it is now a “he said/she said” to and fro. It’s probably the best summer for decades and we have folk spending days looking for an argument or likes.

I am HEAVILY invested here but I have to step away occasionally to remember there are equally important things to enjoy. Every day is precious and any day spent here joining in the spats is, I would contend, a less good way to spend the day.

For the sake of your mental wellbeing take a couple of days off here. Wait for RNSs. Savour each day.

GGP is important but the days and hours slide past too quickly. Take it from me.

I’m sure the rumour mill will now have started about what’s down there.

I mean, there could even be gold or copper for instance.

When GGP first started digging for the source of the Nile who would have thought we’d potentially find precious metals?

What crazy fools we all were.

In terms of risk everything is set out in the submission documentation/prospectus for ASX. There is a thorough Risk section all about it and we don’t need to dream up any additional ones - it’s the job of management to act on identified risks and plan to mitigate others.

Now be honest…how many of you actually READ the risk section when it came out? I did, after all your money is at risk in such ventures and you need to weigh it together.

Can you say you didn’t read the fascinating bit about finding extra terrestrial life at depth? And how to handle it. No. I suspect you haven’t - but you’re going to take a good look now aren’t you !?

Mitigation for that involves placing the find in the same vault as Freddie, Culoepper, and the others

(Can’t hear you - you’re green binned).

And the risk section on night parrots? Yep.

There is a plan for most things you’ll be reassured to know.

Fascinating Bamps to see much of what you were discussing at the Stroud (and other) meets has been borne out by the presentation today, and more. The zones you had mentioned are all in a positive light after today’s announcement

Clearly some corporate comms to be done to get out the message that these zones are significantly better than we had thought when buying the farm.

Whilst we are all a bit bruised today, remember we have been in more difficult times before and this is a disappointing half-step backward on the SP only - not the assets.

I reckon there is too much information for people to see the wood for the trees. Nothing bad has happened, perhaps a teeny bit of overly conservative comms.

Wait for the proactive interviews and similar - you can bet Shaun’s coming out to bat in more bullish style.

I had to change the heading as it was making me feel rather queasy each time I checked in 🤭

I’ve come to understand with GGP that we are now a decent sized company whose SP ups and downs are more like those of a top 200 Aussies company. Because that’s exactly what we are/will be now. Few swings and more boring.

Next week’s results? It’s fun to speculate and that’s all it can be, and the trajectory should be clear to us all by now. Slow and steady on the SP but fast and furious on cash in the bank.

Two quarters of production will be valuable information; as Shaun said the background buying by Oz instos will just happen; clearer data will emerge. I actually believe we’ll stay in our current SP range until we get Telfer MRE update and Q3 data alongside Hav DFS.

Don’t pay attention to the SP next week. It’ll be October/November when we can feel even more vindicated in our investment.

This period is frustrating a few people who hoped for quicker proof that the Aussies would swoon at Greatland joining the ASX. I had also hoped for a few more growth days but overall the position remains strong and we are navigating our way slowly forward with Q2 results at the end of the month. I’m switching off til then unless an RNS arrives prior to that.

I realise too that the GGP story currently is like a hot air balloon that we all thought was inflated well enough, though a full year of production will inflate it fully. A fully inflated balloon is still to come, even if we thought differently.

And the critical element is the right breezes and thermals to float us up and along towards our destination. Those aren’t currently floating our balloon, so to speak.

But the information to come about exploration and assay results at Telfer, and assay results from elsewhere will provide the breezes and thermals.

Stay tuned for a beautiful glide above the fields. Waving amiably at all the folk down on the ground and basking in the gentle movement in the warm air, glass of fizz in one hand and heading for a destination to dream about.

It will be interesting to see if any dimwits turn up after hours today and stick around all weekend line happened last weekend.

I for one will instantly green bin without any engagement. Maybe we can all try to do the same?

Having given one of the types some leeway last weekend I definitely won’t be this weekend.

And if one does turn up, you might contend there is a trend. Or a coincidence. More likely a concerted effort and attempts to offend and stir.

The only stirring to do this weekend is of the jug of Pimm’s as we contemplate our safe landing on the ASX and a Q2 update to set the pulse racing.

I have a parallel theory about who is creating witless noise on here.

As a business a company offering a platform for discussion relies on ad revenue. Revenue is increased by demonstrating more engagement/more posts. What better way to evidence more posts (leading to more ad money)

than allowing stirrers and nitwits to provoke and stir up the community.

If as we saw over the weekend a disruptor turns up then the number of posts goes up. Coincidence? Not really.

You’ll find the tactic of arguing with those you are offended by will eventually make this board readership tire of your approach.

If you can keep it civil and not hostile, ignore what you don’t like, and absorb good and patient posters’ info you’ll be ok.

You’re very close to (and probably already in) a lot of peoples’ green bins.

I don’t mind evidence. Pretty crucial in fact.

But you’ll appreciate that some conversations (esp Town Hall) were unrecorded, face to face, and have no links. So it wouldn’t be possible anyway.

And Sbaun’s talks at these events are non-recorded too.

I’d get yourself along to the next one and hear it first hand instead of second hand from me.

And there’s a big HOWEVER- you must know that the beauty of this board in years past and even now in spite of the guff posted nowadays is that this has always been a community willing to share personal discussions with key people for the good of the whole community. That generosity of sharing provides you with exceptional in-person privilege as we all recognise thousands of GGP folk can’t attend everything.
