USB tops up from 19,914,107 (05/06) to 24,988,196 (11.30%) and Gartmore Investments wade in with 15,530,168 (7.024%) from under 3%. Yet on the market AZM go down even with more people buying than selling! There are strange forces at work with these shares. Any idaes????
I have just noticed the comments re the consolidation that has just taken place. Not so long ago I bought Premier Oil at 1.3/4p ( 1/4 million). They consolidated and I ended up with 2000. Sold at £4.00 so made a bit. Look at them now. I hang my head in shame. I know they say always leave something for the next person!!!, but just look at the price now. I know they are in Oil but £17.46 !!!!! but thats the game we play??
So they are not going to waste money on a non-profitable drug. That seems a good decision to me. Three good drugs still going. Going in for another 50,000 like ParanoiaBlue. Will look cheap in the long run.
Three big boys buy up million of shares. Prudential, Barclays and Nortrust increase their holdings in the Company by over 10 million each. After todays debacal on the markets that says a great deal. It appears to me that the Banks are crying wolf and getting infusions of money from the BOE. Over the last few years the Banks (allof them) have made billions and billions. Now they are saying they want help, and getting it. Who are they kidding???
The results are out today and they are very good for this type of stock. Some very big buys on the market this week so the "big boys" are building up again. No one has been selling in large quantities over the last few weeks . The price has been driven (down) by the market. Still with a couple of good other medical stocks I hold I hope I am looking to a bright future!
These shares are volitile just because of the section they are in. I have no hesitation in saying that the shares are very very cheap. I have been with these share for many years and recommend them to my friends. This is based on the history of the company and the drugs they are involved in. If anyone is thinking of investing look deeply into the Company before you buy. I would start looking very quickly. Lets see what these are in a months time, I am sure it will look much better then.
I notice there was a big buy yesterday 5m in two loads and the buys are well up today. My worry is that a large pharma company will step in and get the company on the cheap. Nothing has changed. Four good drugs, well on the way. I have a good slice of shares and anyone getting out now will I think regret it. Look at the substancial shareholders (all of them the big boys!)
The stock rose nearly 5p on the news (dropping back of course) but these are "funny" times within the market. For any share to hold onto a rise is difficult. I see that over 50% of the stock is held by "big" investors, Barclays, FMR, L &G, Prudential, Fidelity and ABN Amro bought in (4.6%) alittle while ago. The trades genrally are small, I think that you and me are sitting pretty with what we got and smiles are on the way.
I too, like Hix51, have been an investoer in AZM for many years. When they go up I sell a few and when they go down I buy back back with an extra few hundred. I am up to 50,000 now. This firm is the best share in this catagory. It has FOUR well advance drugs all potential winners. Please get the annual report from the Company and give it a good read. Of course there is a risk in this type of stock but don't sell under 100p. Certainly I wouldn't worry as the market is falling badly and it will go up and down with it. When the news starts coming just sit back and watch!
WTS- what is happening here? Price rockets but I can't find out why. Anyone got any ideas on this one?
Now here is a well run firm selling a good product and shares at a good price. Have a look at DSY and I am sure that you will see that it is worth a punt!
I have been tracking this Company for some time and it seems to be on the right track with it's product.I was interested that it has been taken by the US army for trails in Iraq. If the US finds it is as goods as it seems then there could be big orders in the pipeline. I invest in Companies which I consider to have great products that work. This Company has one. So let see what happens. At around 18p it is a very good price to get into the Company. The down side is that it appears to have only one product, am I right???
Sincere or not I question the continalled talk up of shares day after day. I saw this in PRTY which some people took notice of. I hold an investment in CYX and hope it rises with good management and results, not with "talk-up".
I was thinking that perhaps Smiler23 was CYX publicity director but now seeing stalker6 I think that he might have worked for The Daily Mirror???? at some time in the past. So much put on that you tend to not read it.
I've heard of talking up shares Smiler23!!! Are you a Substantial Share holder or perhaps on the board??? I have a holding in this Company but quickly losing interest, unlike you. Perhaps you could tell me what I saw in this compny when I invested in it because I have forgotton!!! The Dog
Prudential up their holdings to 27,198,649 shares (13.63%). Taking into account Mondays info hold on. Where are you Deep? Big mistake Rob8!!!
Blue Crest Equity join a long line of Companies by investing in the Company. They purchased 3,666,505 shares late last week. You can only read one thing into to that. The shares are very cheap and the future is looking good.
Have a look at Beximco Pharmaceuticals.Joined AIM late last year. An interesting Company which produces generic drugs.A Bangladesh Company, again, well run. Has started to produce its own version of the bird flu.
Good advice Deep. Before investing take time to visit Alizyme website and see what they have been doing. The four drugs are in very important sections of the pharmaceutical market. It must be said that as in all developement companies there is a big risk but it is a good company to follow, not only for the share price but for following the stages of the drugs as they progress. I would say to the Company, though, that to do this Shareholders do need information at various times to keep us interested. Over the last few months things have been quite. Perhaps now that there has been a change in the set up more information, even of genral interest, will be forthcoming.
