VW Motors is currently running at a debt of 192 Billion, and they still make money and pay dividends.

As far as I believe, Their demand for over a billion is because that's how much their shareholder payout would have been if the deal went through

I heard about this on the news yesterday.

Apparently its about £500 a dose for the NHS to buy. So only going to be given to the worst cases of covid. Its not for everyone.

If I happen to be in when a divi is offered and I cross the ex-div date then I'll take it. But generally I don't buy shares to wait for the dividends.
