No advice but...

Sitting on huge paper loses is very uncomfortable. Every AIM investor has been there (they are lying if they say not!). Think smart and you could turn things round.

If you are that much down, where esle would you put that money to try and regain the loses? I would be looking at partially derisked company with potential of discovering a significant gold find, a find comparable to a neighbours that delivered x10, x20, x30 for some shareholders (depending on when they bought). I was once 85% down in a company but could see that the company was turning things around so I stuck around, and even averaged down. I am now in good profit there. Good luck.

I would expect to see some temporaryresistance as it bounces down off the recent high of 0.69 before (fingers corssed) continuing its march north. Could deliver a good opportunity to buy/top up if it does drop somewhat. I played that game this morning and waited for the retrace after the opening spike to top up.

They can become a cesspit of misinformation. I always try and balance both hype and bashing with evidence or experienced backed posts. The subsequent vitriol from those with a nefarious agenda is relentless. Which makes me post even more !

- personal insults

- lies and/or gas lighting

- give the impression that their voice is the only voice of reason and he is the fountain of all knowledge.

A rational, evidence-based response would be a huge surprise and maybe they are just not capable of it. Let’s see.

@shmokenn “don’t bite off the hand that feeds you?” What the flock are you on? I’m not looking for support nor to win any arguments, just to post observations and my own opinion. Take it or leave it. Some on here seem to be more interested in getting ticks up and to be liked rather than debate the points raised. Poor insecure, sensitive souls.

Only one poster came back with a reasoned point about why capAI might have a better chance of not failing (like the majority of start ups do) and actually

voiced one of the reasons why I am happy to have taken .a considered punt on capAI. Also, my two companies will benefit directly from the Author42 platforms if it is as good as we hope it to be. I understand the significant financial value Author42 could create for companies and individuals alike. The market is already huge and growing fast.

How are things going here? Seems to be in a prolonged holding pattern. Lithium slowly increasing but what are the chances of a massive rebound, à la Bitcoin? I guess the longer the delay to the export permit, the higher the sale price will be IF lithium/spodumene prices continue to rally. But the longer the delay, the more time there is for change in the company’s finances, dynamics and structure, for a shift in the economic environment and for political tensions, both local and international to be disruptive:

I’m not back in yet, but still watching. I’d be interested to hear genuine reasoned summary arguments, without the predictable but unhelpful personal insults, or labelling of posters as a troll, ramper or basher.

@shmokenn - do you see the irony in your comment? Pff, storytelling! What’s the value in that? Oh, hang on, there’s a boom in AI platforms to support story and content creation . And you’ve invested in one. Duh! As I’m sure you must know, storytelling, especially from a first person perspective, is an age old and powerful and engaging way to get a message across. And my post wasn’t over-sharing as it was all anonymous. No names, no company, no timeline. And I would suggest, it had more of an impact than just saying “don’t over invest” without any context. It conveyed a message.

From reading many weeks worth of posts on this board, and as other posters have also indicated, it mainly comes across. as full of “hype” and “euphoria” with, from what I can see, very little independent critical thinking. Of course, that doesn’t refer to everyone, but it would explain the overriding hostility to those who “dare” to call it out. The default position from the euphoric clan is to throw labels about such as “troll” or “basher” without actually addressing the points raised. Such a weak response, but it is water off a ducks back 😉.

@notready - are you referring to any particular posters? And if by any chance you are referring to me, then I suggest you read all my posts in relation to capAI. Jeez, a kindergarten would hold a more sensible conversation. Unfortunately, all chat forums seem to have gone the same way.

@Schmokenn - unfortunately, he has always suffered from severe bouts of depression, and he trusted his life long friend, the one who is delusional about his mastery of investing. I warned both of them but neither would listen. When the sp started collapsing, I immediately exited my manageable position, and desperately tried to help my friend get out of his. But the decline accelerated to the point where the price was moving so fast you just couldn’t trade it and he was left with a falling knife. But that wasn’t the last of it.

That dangerous individual also persuaded his then recently divorced girlfriend (who had a young daughter) to use the money from the sale of her ex-marital home to invest in the same company. From what I heard £200k. And guess what? She lost almost all of it. And broke up with him. He’s now shacking up with another woman with money. I expect history will repeat itself.

That’s why I’m never backward in coming forward in trying to create balance to what I perceive as overly biased boards. There are vulnerable people who can be hoodwinked by either delusional or dangerous individuals with an agenda.

@Schmokenn. Noted re comments on the last thread. However, after over 30-years investing, I see the same things happening time and time again. I do not want to see vulnerable (and by that I mean wet behind the ears) investors getting their arses kicked, and losing their hard earned money. There is so much misinformation, manipulation and bad actors on these boards that soft words of warning generally go unheeded. If direct (perhaps harsh) words make just one person take heed (who may have invested their entire savings or pension pot in one company, only to see that company, and their financial security, go down the toilet) then its worth it. In addtion to all I have experienced in my investing career, I have also seen a good friend get his entire savings wiped out (and we are talking 6 figures) as he ploughed everything in to one "dead cert" company off the advice of another friend who displayed misplaced confidence after just a year or two of investing. With no investing knowledge you can invest your entire savings in a company that suddenly goes x10, which then makes you feel invincible. But the reality is, you got away with it. You got lucky. Its not often we get lucky in this arena so that's a fast track to insolvency. So newbies please be open to learning from old timers.

And if you are one of those bad actors, well you can only be descirbed as a big piece of what does get flushed down the toilet.

Yes, the website has been down, and is now live. I don't expect the site to be fully functional unitl after the beta testing period. After all, that's the purpose of the beta test. Meanwhile, I am happily buidling on my not insignficant holding in the full knowledge this is a high risk/high reward environment. If it goes belly up, I will only lose what I can afford to lose. But if it succeeds, which of course I think it has every chance of doing, then happy days.

That in itself is great to know". What did you think they were doing with a platform that is about to go into beta testing? And thanks for clarifying that its being upgraded "nicely". Stupid me, I thought they were downgrading it. You sound desperate. Have you over invested? Risking the shirt off your back? I'm hoping you know this, but however promising a company looks, nothing is ever a dead cert.
