RE: Author42; new website visual update16 Aug 2025 11:19
Yes, the website has been down, and is now live. I don't expect the site to be fully functional unitl after the beta testing period. After all, that's the purpose of the beta test. Meanwhile, I am happily buidling on my not insignficant holding in the full knowledge this is a high risk/high reward environment. If it goes belly up, I will only lose what I can afford to lose. But if it succeeds, which of course I think it has every chance of doing, then happy days.
@rhwillcoll - You only post on the CPAI board, and often with meaningless comment: "Thank you Shmokenn for informing us that the Author42 website is being upgraded nicely. That in itself is great to know". What did you think they were doing with a platform that is about to go into beta testing? And thanks for clarifying that its being upgraded "nicely". Stupid me, I thought they were downgrading it. You sound desperate. Have you over invested? Risking the shirt off your back? I'm hoping you know this, but however promising a company looks, nothing is ever a dead cert.
ChatGPT: "The AI sector, in particular, is hitting much higher failure rates: A survey indicates an 85% failure rate within the first three years for AI startups. Similarly, other sources report that 90% of AI startups fail—either within the first year or within their first five years. Only 5% of AI startups become profitable within their first three years.
For clarity, I am NOT saying I think saying capAI will fail. Quite the opposite. I am invested. But for those new to investing, don't get caught in hype and over invest.
