The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Possibly this:
“We are actively seeking a joint venture partner to help finance this programme and currently working on several positive leads."
If they can’t find a funding partner then perhaps a placing is on the cards?
It would be good to get the permit through so they can become revenue generating which should increase the MCAP, perhaps be in a position to self-fund future development from cash generated, or at the very least mitigate the risk of a heavily discounted placing.
Like the sound though of proving up copper reserves as this could be a game changer.
We will see
It seems at last like my patience may, just may, be paying off:
Great Western GWMO - tantalisingly close to production with other assets ripe for the picking (copper).
Kodal (KOD) - fully funded to build the Bougoni mine and start producing lithium spod within 12-months, plus gold assets proving up well.
Kazera Global (KZG) - with ASM taking a 29% position in the company at double the current share price, rumours of "bigger" projects around the corner, money still coming in from sale of their lithium asset.
Hope fully they will offset the disaster that has been Ironveld (IRON).
And two where I have everythnig crosssed!
AFC Energy (AFC) - a punt in the hydrogen sector.
Clontarf Enegy (CLON) - another punt, this time in lithium brime extraction.

No surprise that there wasn’t.
Any semblance of investing in this company based on analysis is completely out the window. This is currently a “cross everything and hope for the best” disaster of an investment . Glad I sold half of my initial investment (at a loss) some time ago to invest elsewhere. In hindsight should have offloaded the entire holding.
This has tanked so much that the remaining holding is relatively worthless so I will hold for the miracle turn around or as a reminder of how AIM can bite hard.
• Construction of mill site complete
• All process plant on site for gravity separation with generator in place
• Permit granted by regulator for moving material to site from remote locations
• Commissioning and start-up of mill operations waiting on environmental permit
• Application for stage-2 leaching process to be submitted following approval of permit for
gravity separation
Oh, and official photos available.
Excellent news.
Im in the same boat, MrC. You have a strong nerve to have averaged down again now, and I have contemplated it, but I have already invested my maximum amount by averaging down for a 1.2p avg, but just won't allow myself now to increase my holding further. I will just sit it out.
Looking at the chart (and in reference to recent RNSs), I think 1.2 and 1.5 will be surpassed quite quickly. Let's hope that 2024 is indeed THE transformational year....
Nothing but positive news coming from the company.
Bulletin boards a breeding ground for planted fake news.
Since news of the $118m funding, weak holders are lying at the bottom of the tree that has well and truly been shaken by the machine that is The City who now, after this investment has been so signficantly derisked, look to load up with the shares that have been all to easily prised from the hands of the weak to fill their orders. I wont be surprised to see bigger and bigger trades going through over the next few weeks.
Time and time again, as sure as I am that the world is round, the weak holders who cant see beyond the noise will ALWAYS get stiffed.
To me it looks like one final spike down shake to frighten some in to selling, then a nive V-shaped recovery to indicate the start to a much longer term reversal from the recent downtrend.
Think a rise from 0.1 to 0.9 was big? Wait until the proper rise happens. Thats what The City will be investing for, and why I have quielty held through all this predictable nonsense.
To be honest, I don’t feel bad at all. But it’s good to have reminders about the nature of some AIM stocks.
The rinse and repeat working practices of this particular company are plain to see.
Buyer beware, as they say.
Aka THE YEAR OF THE LEPER…
I’ve been in VAL for many years and still hold some shares to show it’s catastrophic loss in my portfolio - it serves as a clear and daily reminder to me not to repeat mistakes of the past.
On 16th Dec, the sp was 14p, and there were keyboard warriors claiming significant funds were coming in and that 20p, 30p, 40p and 50p or more was extremely likely. The sp is now at 5.9p. Says it all really and potential new investors should take note.
Below is what was posted by me 5 Nov 2023 and then on 16th Dec 2023 in response to all the bullish rumours on this board.:

Only 97% down. Tumbleweed moment with VAL 401!
I feel like I’ve been here before…
Oh, I have.
Time will tell if it’s any different to the 2nd, 3rd or however many false starts there have been.
Only need another 900%+ to recover my losses.
A leopard never changes its spots, neither does a leper (which is a pretty apt way of describing a chronically sick excuse of a pharma company).

“ Cash at 30 June 2023 of £761k”
Jeez, burning through the $4.2m received from Xinjian, Dennis!
That was my first thought in reading the highlights, but the full report paints a very different picture:

Surely this is now grossly undervalued?
