Actually research doesn't make you money! The company does! Which is why people can only hope that the company they have invested in grows! Take any Aim share and tell me the people invested are 100% confident! Because I'll tell you now, they are not! No matter how much research you've done and what you think a company is capable of there are always hidden factors that could reap havoc to a share price. So yes hope is what keeps us believing in our research. If I was 100% confident in this then you would no doubt have a strop about it. Did i say i am ignoring history? No, I have made myself aware of what happened however have invested my time into knowing what FUTURE the company has! That is looking into prospects, independent reports etc. ps. I know what pigs are in both contexts but i think you have over-emphasised that point enough ;) pps. And to level the playing field with your 'opinion' i have placed mine as a Strong Buy so don't judge me

NoelShempsky what's your obsession with slaughtering pigs? It seems you have some issues, please go sort them out.. As for twisting my words, well any ar$ehole can do that. What I said was 'I don't know the ins and outs because i wasn't around then but i have glossed over the key events' - That means for your information that I don't know a great deal about their history! I do know about their current projects and I'm confident given time they will play to their strengths. As for posting snippets of information and links for others to view I don't see TBG1 or yourself posting anything other than garbage about how one or the other has predicted the share price would fall, and oh it has but get a grip! All shares fall, they can also rise! And fingers crossed this will do soon. And btw I didn't post anything about taking my advice and buying! Simply my own point of view.

If we are talking about going further back than 2008 when it was reintroduced to the markets then yes it was obviously bad for the company. I don't know the ins and outs because i wasn't around then but i have glossed over the key events. It's since come back to the market and while it has fallen, it is now at a low so give it time. Okay the price appreciation of a raw material would increase a value of an asset. But the value of copper increasing by 10% has very little impact when you take into consideration everything else involved in the extraction process! Infrastructure, land value etc all influence the asset value. The point was you declared Market Cap to be Asset Value which is wrong as the Asset Value is everything the company owns or potentially owns. It's a whole lot more complicated than accepting its the value the market perceives it to be. Just remember the Market Cap is influenced by the share price and the share price has no connection with asset value! If we can agree on that then we can choose our own opinion at least on where we believe the company is heading

The only way for an asset value to fluctuate would be for a revaluation by the company itself! Look at the asset balance sheet! If an asset requires time to become profitable then the market will value it lower than it's full potential price until it is producing product - at which point it can then rise. The current Market Cap is because MCRs projects are not all fully established. And how has it been a complete disaster every step of the way? I would love to hear this!

TBG1 thinks Market Cap is Asset Value so obviously hasn't got a clue when it comes to valuing a company. Have you read up on your mistake yet mate? As I've said before MCR is not going to go bust! Just because the SP has fallen (which most do if there is no news) does not excuse you from making ridiculous claims that the company is doomed! If you were an expert at this game you would point out the fact that there are alternatives but no you ARE a deramper! It takes time for mining companies to establish a profitable base, look at Rio Tinto! They didn't start yesterday..

alans1 - good point, i've yet to experience the thieving that takes place on a house purchase but good point. Naughty government can take my £3 if they want, just so they know i'll screw them over at some point lol riddler - i think the £3.17 was about 2.5% of my trade which i've seen on the share on this site so it didn't really surprise me. Good to hear you're in at 12p :p I'll pretend i didn't see the other two figures lol
