Perhaps I am being naive? I have read the statement twice, searching for the application of precision science (stratification) in the company’s plans. This was presented as a key strategy for patient identification to investors at the last AGM.

The outcome to exhaustive studies over the last year is a P2 trial on seriously ill mechanically ventilated patients. A worthwhile route owing to the high mortality and morbidity rates, but couldn’t this cohort have been selected, and the trials conducted much earlier? It is easy for investors to be wise after the event, but bearing in mind the company’s dire financial position, they might have looked at expediting a trial based on the above patient grouping far sooner than today? Whatever happened to Synairgen “needing a fire to put out”, which we were told about in a company statement early in 2021?

Synairgen is still reeling from their poorly executed P3 trial. There appears to be a glimmer of hope for the company’s future, but today won’t be a good day for investors.

I shall read that with interest, when Synairgen inform us that they remain a going concern, and that they have formulated protocols and suitable endpoints to commence P2 trialling.

If they are to remain anywhere near credible, these two pieces of news will appear simultaneously.

Until they do that, my main concern here is whether I still have a viable investment in my portfolio? I am not far off the mark when I say that my patience is being tested to the limit. What this company has done to its investors is far from normal company procedure!

Whatever became of the “milestones” in Consilium’s communication in response to some investors’ queries? These were the points in the process that investors were supposed to be informed about the progress made by the company.

The fact that we haven’t been informed implies that either:

1. There was only one milestone in the process, namely the beginning of the trials, which haven’t started yet.

2. That the first milestone in a multi-staged process hasn’t been attained at the present time.

Alternatively, perhaps there is a now a different strategy, involving a partnership with a BP entity waiting to be announced? The latter was what I was hoping for in early 2023, when we were waiting for something to be announced once it was as set “in concrete”.

One of the major difficulties arising from a company not communicating with its investors is that we have no idea whatsoever as to what has been achieved since the last announcement nine months ago?

Anyone, who is in that category, doesn’t qualify as a long term investor.

However, when a company imposes a 9 month deadline, with conditions, on its investors, it is reasonable to assume that with three days remaining in that deadline, we ought to have been told something before now? In addition, I can see no reason for a delay in the expected update on the company’s financial position either?

If one remains calm, and assumes that the latter “delays” were for positive reasons, the week may end well for LTIs.

Those of us, who have held for this long can but hope for the best! Those who are swinging by, and sowing seeds of doubt at this late stage, most probably have their own reasons for doing so.

I do not understand how any importance is being attached to the involvement of Prof. Tom Wilkinson. He is a consultant, who works with Synairgen, as and when his expertise is requested.

My focus is on a later than expected financial update from the company. Additionally, on further news about company led trials, which we were told about nine months ago, and have heard nothing more since then. With a company CMO, and other senior employees directing the process, Professor Wilkinson’s involvement is surely of peripheral interest to investors?

It will take an exceptionally good update from Synairgen to justify the total absence of news since last September. The latter - virtually no X/Linkedin information, no updates to their website, their failure to respond to investors’ written and telephone queries, a perfunctory Consilium response conveying no actual information to some investors (others of us did not receive the same privilege) - I could get on, does not bode well!

Should it be a financial update this week, and further excuses resulting in more trial delay, I anticipate nothing but exasperation from most actual investors.

I suspect that those who defend Synairgen on this forum, and write rude and sometimes offensive comments about investors who disagree with them, will continue to pursue this agenda. I may be highly irritated by these individuals, but refuse to take their immature jibes, and consequently, their opinions too seriously.

As previously stated, should the CEO and Board succeed in turning things around, I will write a contrite comment here. As things stand today, it doesn’t look as though that will be the case. For obvious reasons, I still want to be proven wrong!

Well over a year ago, Brooke Clarke responded to all my e-mails. As I recall, the standard reply at the time informed me that the company was engaged in conversations with potential partners, and that investors would be informed when there was something concrete to report. Not the the exact wording, but that was essentially what investors were told at the time. I should add that since Mrs Clarke's departure from Synairgen. I haven't received a single reply to my occasional queries to the Consilium online proforma.

Our last significant piece of news from the company was the announcement that they were " .... continuing to work at pace, partnering with high quality researchers and collaborators, to ensure it has the right trial designs, equipped with the right diagnostic tools, to be able to identify trial participants potentially most likely to benefit from a broad-spectrum antiviral and SNG001. This work (including biomarker assessments), together with the substantial body of evidence gathered from clinical trials with SNG001 to date, will inform a robust clinical development programme for SNG001."

In addition, it was reported that it was "the Company's goal to commence trials as soon as possible, subject to approval timelines, and within H1 2024."

Today, with one week remaining in H1, investors are none the wiser what has been going on "at pace" within the company?

Contributors, who are far more knowledgable than myself have speculated about the nature of the pre-trial testing, the data that the company would be most likely to use to determine their trial protocols, when these trials would be most likely to start, and even that an NDA might be in place owing to ongoing discussions of some description between Synairgen and major pharmaceutical companies?

Despite this speculation, no retail investor has any idea of the actual progress made in nearly nine months? There hasn't been a single communication; nor has the company's website been updated to include any new developments this year.

It would be hugely disappointing should there be no significant update next week. Yet, this is the peculation from some of our valued contributors. Personally, I don't have a clue, but will keep an open mind until the CEO and Board finally communicate with investors!

I doubt that very much. The share price hasn’t shifted to any extent from its low range all year. Any influencer, positive or negative, on a niche bulletin board has zero effect on overall investor sentiment.

The only thing that matters over the remaining few days of H1 is the next communication from Synairgen. Should it contain a positive strategy update, we will all breathe a sigh of relief!

It is difficult to perceive a reason why the accounts shouldn’t be ready? The company has a CFO and a Financial Controller in place. There hasn’t been any income for a long time. The outgoings are straightforward.

What is really odd that a strategy was announced last September to commence during the first half of this year. We are reaching the end of that time period. Nothing further has been announced in nearly nine months?

No investor has any idea as to what has been going on behind the scenes since then? The website hasn’t been updated to include the information communicated through two poster presentations and a single publication. For sure, we will finally know what has been going on by the end of next week. Until then, all we can do is sit tight and hope for the best!

The continuous selling, despite the recent RNS speaks volumes to investors. I regret my investment here. The warning bells about a particular individual and his cronies were sounding loud and clear at the time. I should have had the good send to heed the multiple warnings from other investors.

The share price does not tally with the information updates issued by IB. Should this investment be taken down, I really do hope that there is a particularly uncomfortable place in Hades especially reserved for that particular manipulative individual!

The “Fruitsnveg” account is consigned to my green bin for good. I am not prepared to indulge the bizarre fantasies from this account any longer.

The recent publication from the Synairgen team suggests that one of the expected P2 trials will focus on treating COPD patients with severe symptoms? The prevalence of this disease everywhere means that once the patient protocols are in place, there ought to be more than enough patients available to conduct the trial.

Pmjh. Thank you for yesterday’s detailed reminder of the way in which translational science might be used by the Synairgen team in their forthcoming study. It was a breath of fresh air amidst a bedlam of nonsense originating from the “Fruitsnveg” account.

It merited further discussion. Hopefully, during the next ten days we will be informed as to the part it has played in Synairgen’s patient targeting for their forthcoming trials.

Gunto. Should you have evidence of the latter, kindly provide it. Your assertion is incorrect.

It would appear that the usual suspects are back to their very own brand of McCarthyism. In my opinion, it is these individuals, who are not all they seem.

We will soon have an interminably long awaited update from Synairgen. I am far more interested in what that update tells us than the conspiracy theories offered by the three (company) stooges.

As investors, we are only too aware of the "developments" that have occurred over the last 27 months. Nothing of any consequence has been "communicated" to investors for well over eight months. The MCap is declining, with the share price remaining at a tiny fraction of its value at the time of the P3 cash raise.

None of your listed items have had any effect whatsoever on the share price!

We are invested here to make money. Consequently, most investors look forward to receiving news either regarding the scheduling of P2 trials, or a joint arrangement with a major biopharmaceutical company to move the company forward. The sooner they achieve something of real value, the better it will be for all investors.

You are singing from the company hymn sheet there TD. All good, if they achieve those objectives, and our depleted investments recover?

Their tardiness in getting the job done is our major concern. Seasoned investors, like Gunto, are having doubts about their abilities to achieve anything of value by the end of H2? I agree with him.

No one credible sets a nine month deadline, and strings it out until the last second? In addition, I still don’t know what to make of the delayed AGM?

As previously stated, I shall apologise to this forum for my negativity should this investment flourish this year? My opinion concerning the shabby way that the company have treated investors will however remain.

You are a master of the dark arts of the misdirection of other contributors’ statements TD. Either that or you haven’t bothered to read them properly before responding? I suspect the latter!

Investors financed a P3 company trial with 650 patients. Sadly, the Synairgen team lacked the ability to bring that to a successful conclusion!

The company have existed on the residue of our investment since February 2022, including high end salaries for their executives.

The UNIVERSAL data (we hope) has been used by now to assist with the determination of P2 patient protocols, nothing else! More to the point, investors are still waiting for the outcome of that process.

Your aspiration is well below that of most investors, TD. You are too easily satisfied by meagre rations.

You continue to sweat the small stuff. What you have listed amounts to the equivalent to the output of a middlish University research department. The difference being that Synairgen employs a troop of consultants in addition to their workforce.

None of it has added to the company’s MCap, or even stabilised the share price. Both have continued to decline since the P3 trial outcome.

All you have demonstrated is that your success criteria are considerably lower than those of most Synairgen investors!

In terms of daily repeating just compare your output with mine! I needn’t say any more. If I am a troll, as you put it, then you must be a company stooge! Others have stated this. Your loyalty in the face of a total information blackout for eight months is questionable?

Your solidarity with Mr. Marsden’s lack of progress is questionable? The company’s underachievement on his watch is by now raising serious questions for most investors!

I am aspiring towards a successful outcome purely because of my belief in our product. It may yet succeed despite the current measurable lack of progress from the CEO and his executives.

You are missing the point. I hope to be proven wrong, as my portfolio will flourish should the company succeed!

What I find most troubling is 28 months of vague statements - no precise operational measures identified, with constant obfuscation from Mr. Marsden.

We have a potentially lucrative product, should it be brought to market? Bearing in mind the lamentable lack of progress, does Synairgen have the right team to make it happen?
