"With financial Armageddon possibly beginning on Thursday (If Evergrande ) fails to make a repayment to at least two of its creditors ( the banks have all but given up getting their money back ) the crash that is sparked off could cause massive ramifications throughout the worlds banking system.
Crypto has never been more tempting!
I am in ( just £5k ) but this could be the catalyst to shift the world of crypto front and centre of everyday life "
Thats maybe a hypothetical possibility but I'm not sure it's very likely, I also think if the scenario played out then you would see a significant amount of mo ey drained from the financial system. Argo is listed in fiat.. The risk adversion would cover all fiat so argo would plummet.
Holding btc directly might be a saving grace but we are too early in the game for that, a that would happen would be a massive sell off whilst the big boys sat on fiat ready to take advantage of it.
Think back to the big financial crash we had, fiat was sucked out but other safe havens didn't go up proportionally, I. E. Gold didn't go up by the amount that was liquidated, it sat as fiat in capital preservation mode ready for the time to respend.
You could argue that the quantative easing that followed has caused significant asset inflation (housing, crypto, commodities etc) but that again was the pump in of fiat to counter act the didsaperance of fiat.
I just want Thursday to come and go so we all know where we stand.
