Good to see The TImes giving this some coverage last week, stated the SP fall is overdone, even though coal / gas price has fallen back, still looks very cheap p/e under 10. This goes ex-divi on 25th july so hopefully we'll see a further rise up to this date

Yes i hope you are right. Oil up again today, which does baffle me slightly in the current climate, but ref Bloomberg, russia are looking to reduce oil export tax by 8.9% in August (ok it goes up and down vs. the oil price, but at least oil is up and the tax is down!)

Its crazy that it ever went below 4 in the first place, solid fundamentals here

Advfn bb getting excited over a takeover possibility, EXI sp seems to have gone the way of other russian oilers in the past that has then lead to a bid being made, hmmm. At the very least production has stablised and other wells being drilled, oil price around $100, looks good t/o or no t/o

Lots of interesting debate today over on advfn following todays rns, views are someone could be increasing their voting rights (possible t/o) or at least confident SP will be on the up shortly

After today's results, I've reached a conclusion now, stay on the sidelines on this one!

SP holding steady, positive RNS out yesterday, oil up, feeling positive, hope we see an upward trend next week!

Sold at 253p for a small loss, still watching this though, anyone have any views on the outlook for this?

Topped up at end of today at 96.5p, was hoping to get in at sub 95p, but hoping positive news or a prompt recovery in the sp is just around the corner!

I nearly pressed the buy button earlier, but opted to top up my holding in CHAR. I'll see it dips down to 93p then up again, might just wait it out for another day

Over on ADVFN they reckon the shorters have been playing this, but I think the drop has been due to missed production targets and the risky environment, so investors naturally shy away from Russia, but will drills planned you'd think they'd get lucky with some with so much oil in the ground out there! Quite undervalued too IMO, could be a takeover target if price hangs around this level

Account for production slowly but steadily rising, plus ongoing drills, I'd like to think we'd get back to the 280p I paid, may well average down now

Seems some directors exercised some rights to sell of some sort, so guess that is the reason for the drop. I do have this for the long term but such a continuous drop does make one wonder if this business will suffer under the lenigas regime

Thanks, I did read about this, but thought there'd be demand to pick these up, I guess there could be some surplus shares still unsold hence the fall in price to help move them on? If that is the case then I will be averaging down
